@JayBiggz well i have vf4 evo and that game is great, but i like VF5 better. It does have cons such as a somewhat weaker AI (in vf4 the AI in the last 2 arcades were almost impossible for me :( or maybe i just aren't that good ) but the graphics certainly are great and so is the pace of fights. its feels like some combos are easier to string then before, and most characters gets new moves. All in all i am very happy with this game :)

I Traded "Virtua Fighter 5" with a Friend and got "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune". And it was Worth Trading. I'd stick to SSFIV (Have it)

Then i put hard mode on and now i have about 160 wins and 57 losses. i certainly don't have too much problem with a.i. but i hope they get even more challenging
@go555ace Like I said. Once you get past master, it gets really hard. The increase in difficulty is very gradual, which is really nice for teaching you how to play, but it does get really hard once you reach master, which comes after 1st dan if you don't know what it is...

Virtua Fighter is a great good but it's also an "experts" game. You, more then likely, would have to be Perfect to even compete against other people on this game. If you want a fighting game challenges you as games then as a competitor this is it.
Doa is the best fighting game for everybody, because anyone can pick it up and get good at it. But the best thing about it is the online set up. It is the best online set up you could every have in a fighting game, PERIOD.

The same was with me. I finally got to VF5 and know how to play a serious bit. But I have to say games should be designed with appropriate input device in the head. Tekken requires less an arcade-stick than VF5 does. But If you take characters like Jacky you can still play on some level without an arcade-stick, find a good fight-pad for the case you have 360.
VF is easy to learn but hard to master while the mentality of VF is to make rewarding moves more difficult to execute. It is a different philosophy to tekken where there it is only about tactics but not "joypad-fas-pressing-skills"

after playing this game for 2 weeks im converted from tekken i love tekken and well still play it but this is another level of 3d fighting . the character are so much more balanced and the game is more indepth jsut check out strats on stepping and youll see what i mean

LOL, I still love the game. I'm really a single-player kind of guy. Even though the PS3 has free online play, I have'nt touched mutliplayer yet, including the PS3 COD4. I love games like Ratchet, Uncharted, Resistance, GRAW2, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Motorstorm. And Virtua Fighter 5, too. I DO like VF5, even offline.
I tend to view a lot of these games like a novel. I want to play by myself and get immmersed with them. If I get bored with Resistance, I'd pop in Motorstorm and Ratchet for a while. Then, when I come back to Resistance, it's like brand new again.

Tekken is a little bit of both. It didn't pioneer the 3D arcade beat-em-up the way Virtua Fighter did and it isn't quite as challenging, but it still maintains the feel of a great fighting sim and has plenty of the action Dead or Alive had without the awful music, ugly costumes and pervy breast size adjustment. I find Virtua Fighter maybe a little bit too austere these days, despite fond memories of playing it on my Saturn.
I agree with you on that one. VF is definately the better game. I happen to be a DOA fanatic myself. I enjoy playing both of them. But VF is where its at.
Vitura Fighter is not button mashing whoever told you that its a lie you have to have great skill to be good in VF trust me this game is not easy and its not a button mashing too heck i couldn't beat that far in the acrade with VF 4 because with Akira yuki you need great skill he is hard to master compared to Sarah Bryant which she is easier to control

I find Tekken to be insanely difficult for button mashing. I know this because when I was 8 and first played tekken, that's what I did and I kept getting my ass kicked lol. Then I trained with characters and got the groove down for my favorites. Their moves have a certain rhythm to follow for their combos which makes button mashing very difficult, thus, in my humble opinion, Tekken series is very challenging and fun that way.
Virtua fighter is the best fighting game ever i think because it not complicated its got a get cast of charaters old and new and its what you want from a fighting game.

this is a great, properly brilliant realistic game, but honestly i beat a guy in a real tea-kwon-do ring, come on this and get my ass whooped by jonny. The computer can beat a real fighter its unreal

after playing this game for 2 weeks im converted from tekken i love tekken and well still play it but this is another level of 3d fighting . the character are so much more balanced and the game is more indepth jsut check out strats on stepping and youll see what i mean

I always hated the sound effects for this game. They were so bland and fake sounding. Tekken had the best sounds, every attack had it's own sound. Good stuff.

LOL, I still love the game. I'm really a single-player kind of guy. Even though the PS3 has free online play, I have'nt touched mutliplayer yet, including the PS3 COD4. I love games like Ratchet, Uncharted, Resistance, GRAW2, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Motorstorm. And Virtua Fighter 5, too. I DO like VF5, even offline.

I tend to view a lot of these games like a novel. I want to play by myself and get immmersed with them. If I get bored with Resistance, I'd pop in Motorstorm and Ratchet for a while. Then, when I come back to Resistance, it's like brand new again.

i like virtua fighter i got it on ps3 i feel sorry for 360 ownerd because the 360 game is based on version c and has bugs the v bug and the problem with the customization of eileen monkey shirt hopefully they have a download on xbox live to fix it n 360 control not good for vf5

The reason why people prefer tekken and DOA games is becuz of it's flashy combos, but for me I like my fighting to a realistic scale, VF does that.

Tekken is a little bit of both. It didn't pioneer the 3D arcade beat-em-up the way Virtua Fighter did and it isn't quite as challenging, but it still maintains the feel of a great fighting sim and has plenty of the action Dead or Alive had without the awful music, ugly costumes and pervy breast size adjustment. I find Virtua Fighter maybe a little bit too austere these days, despite fond memories of playing it on my Saturn.

Vitura Fighter is not button mashing whoever told you that its a lie you have to have great skill to be good in VF trust me this game is not easy and its not a button mashing too heck i couldn't beat that far in the acrade with VF 4 because with Akira yuki you need great skill he is hard to master compared to Sarah Bryant which she is easier to control

I find Tekken to be insanely difficult for button mashing. I know this because when I was 8 and first played tekken, that's what I did and I kept getting my ass kicked lol. Then I trained with characters and got the groove down for my favorites. Their moves have a certain rhythm to follow for their combos which makes button mashing very difficult, thus, in my humble opinion, Tekken series is very challenging and fun that way.

I personally don't like Virtual fighter. The moves and skills seem so lame and simplistic, and that fact you can hook people in combos, while the opponent is lying down in mid-air.
