Could someone tell me why the russian women are stuck in this POW camp. b/c I have to write a report 3 historical films (this being one of them) and all the wwii books I read talks about hitler and why the war started and nothing about them. thank you

I hate it when people preach the Geneva convention, be it Americans, British, or Germans. No one pays attention to it unless their lives are at stake so it's meaningless.
9:12 -Maybe the Krauts weren't taking a nap in a bomb shelter a mile away. Maybe they overheard you shouting the buisiness like an ump at a Phillies game. Honestly though; the fact that guys really did escape POW camps is beyond belief. Amazing.
There is a reason for the comment about "White Christmas"...my father in law was in the real Stalag 17 and he said that they would play that song over and over and over again to torture them. He could never listen to that song again after he got home.

My school is doing this as a play! It's so much fun. I play as Joey and play the ocarina terribly. Such a fun part!!!! Awesome play. Awesome movie!!!
