Um no Plasma basically has no burn in anymore only image retention whcih goes away after setting the TV to a different TV channel. Also Plasma's response times are much faster meaning instant feedback. Plasma also gives you much better colours.
Pioneer quit makeing Plasmas. NEVER use a PS3 for blu-ray! No bit stream support onley pcm. I have 7.1 HD reciver DTR-7.9 and onley 1 or 2 movies support 7.1 just buy a good 5.1 system not one of the all in one box systems wich are a pice of shit.
Would have been nice if he either connected the 2 dvi ports or just one. Double link dvi d and dvi I ports?

Bitstream and LPCM produce the same quality audio neither receiver nor player makes the audio sound any better.

The PS3 can not send the new codecs (DD+, dts-HD HR, Dolby TrueHD, or dts-HD MA) out as raw bitstream. It can do so for the legacy DD and dts codecs.
PCM - Player decodes
Bitstream - Receiver decodes

Yes but this is a temp till I get a 50" Plasma, PS3 and 7.2 HTiB. I should have that by end of 2009 or early 2010.
