  • Are they worth the money? Also, could I take it to school one day maybe or would it be too scared? Please answer!! Thanks!

  • @nevadahunter813 Hedgehogs are worth the money paid for them. The first couple weeks after buying your hedgie are the hardest because they need time to get use to you. But once they do get use to you, they make great pets. As for taking it to school, even Ollie gets scared of being around too many people. Hedgehogs also don't like loud noises (as do a lot of animals). I guess it depends on where the hedgehog is going to be when in the school whether on not you bring your pet hedgie to school.

  • @nevadahunter813 hedgehogs aren't for everyone they are usually VERY grumpy when you first get them usually between 6 to 12 weeks they go through a process called "quilling" when they loose their baby quills and grow their adult quills, its like a human baby teething except all over the body. I do not recommend you bring your hedgie to school untill it has reached adulthood and is well socialized. They do make awesome unique pets but like i said they are not for everyone.

  • I thought you meant Ollie it like ollie over it on a skateboard haha

  • How could someone dislike this!

  • I might get one. my dad said "if you keep your room clean for 3 months" :l could you message me with some info about hedgehogs?

  • I find this video to be hilarious .. A hedgehog seems like a sweet pet .. Do they do anything ?

  • @SPRification they are really unique and each one has its own personality :3 they are nocturnal so they do most of their playing and eating at night. You can take them out in the middle of the day but they are likely to be very grumpy and fall asleep easily. its best to get them out around 7pm then you should see them do more. they are very sweet :) but not for everyone.

  • hes stunned by the light hes not gonna move

  • Just got my Hedgie today and his name is Kitty Hawk!

  • @fincherc1 Good luck with your new little family member! :)

  • good choice of music!

  • @MrFuckaduckscrew I regret putting this music into this video. It's really unfitting : /

    Too late now

  • do the spikes hurt ?

  • @smileyflyz The first time I picked up Ollie, it didn't hurt, it just surprised me how it felt. It kind of feels like a hairbrush. You get use to the feel of the spines (spikes) really fast and it doesn't hurt at all.

  • Guy if you are ever looking for a pet hedgehog do not buy them from a pet store for over $100 you can get them for $25 from a breeder.

  • Hey I'm getting a Hedgehog soon too, and I'm naming him/her Ollie too, I love that name :), and I can't wait to have one of these little hedgies :)

  • Are hedgehogs fun pets? They're so cute, but expensive!!!

  • @DumBlondz1221 Yes, in my opinion hedgehogs are very fun pets. Ollie cost about $350 alone, but I think it was completely worth it. Owning any pet can be very rewarding :).

  • @dafrizziwolf my hedgehog (cosmo) was only 175$... but hes an angry hedgehog

  • @TDproductionz13 It might have been the way the breeder raised it before you adopted it. When I bought Ollie, he wasn't 'angry' he was just shy and a little frightened of me. In the weeks following, I spent a lot of time with me until he became very friendly with me. My advise is to donate some extra time with your hedgie, and if that doesn't work, maybe the hedgehog was just was born grumpy. :)

  • @TDproductionz13 lol, how angry is he

  • @snowydro1 very angry lmao his quills are always up

  • @TDproductionz13 lol thats hilarious dude

  • Does it hert when it bites?

  • @jenny1252 Well, yes it does hurt, but hedgehogs (or at least mine) don't bite that much. Sometimes he's a little grumpy when I first wake him up and he may bite. But I would be grumpy to if someone woke me up while I was sleeping. :)

  • @dafrizziwolf Is it the type of hurting where it draws blood? lol

  • @jenny1252 It just feels like a little pinch, it really doesn't hurt that much. Ollie bit me once went I first got him since he was still getting use to me. It didn't hurt, it just surprised me. You don't need to worry about your hedgie biting you if you spend a lot of time with it, since the more you spend with your hedgie (same with any other pet) it will make it more friendly.

  • Hi i have a question. When im older im thinking about getting a hedgehog and i would like to know how long they live and where can you buy one of them? Thanks so much. ~autumn

  • @sprinklesmccupcake If you're thinking about buying a hedgehog you should first check to see if it is legal to have them in your state (you can just google it). If it is legal then you should search for local hedgehog breeders. It's pretty easy. Hedgehogs normally live to between 4-7 years so it's a big commitment. But trust me, it is very rewarding. :) Hope this helped a little Autumn. If you have anymore questions please contact me.

  • @dafrizziwolf Thanks so much! It turns out they are legal where im at. :D Thanks so much im looking forward to my new hedgie when ever my mom allows me to have one!

  • @sprinklesmccupcake it's my pleasure :) Good luck with your hedgehog.

  • Hi, I was wondering what you think the best cat food for a hedgehog would be and how much to give it including how many "treats" such as carrots or fruits a day. Also, what kinds of treats should I give it. (I don't have a hedgehog but I'm thinking about getting one)

  • @zoola456 For the cat food brand, I recommend buying Blue Buffalo. When you're looking for food for your pet, it's very important that you read the ingredients. I give Ollie about 2 tdsp of cat food a day. If you feed them more than this it could lead to obesity for your hedgehog. Fruit and vegtables makes up a small part of a hedgehogs diet and it is best to give them very small amounts every couple days. Ollie enjoys eating blueberries, strawberries, and celery (for some reason).

  • @zoola456 I don't recconmend giving them 'treats' everyday though. I give fruit and veggies every other day to keep his diet balanced, and when I feed him I give him small portions. If you have anymore questions about hedgehogs, send me a message. I love answering questions about hedgehogs. :)

  • ITS SONIC!!

  • Hey, I'm Lindsey lol (: My parents are considering letting me get a hedgie of my own <3 I was wondering if you recommend them as a pet ? Also, are they easy to take care of ? :3 I would be thankful for your help. :)

  • @xPoisonousCupcakesx hedgehogs in my opinion make good pets but the first couple of weeks are always the hardest. You have to spend a lot of time with it when you first get it so it gets use to you. One idea I got from a friend of mine is to take a old piece of clothing (something you don't use anymore) and give it to them to sleep in so they use to your scent. You can also just have your hedgehog sit in your lap while you watch tv. The more time you spend with it, the more friendly it will be.

  • @xPoisonousCupcakesx Hedgehogs are fairly easy to take care of, but cleaning their cage is a little time consuming. It takes me about a half an hour to clean Ollies cage because you have to change the wood chips and clean his wheel, stuff like that. In conclusion, I recommend them as a pet but always remember hedgehogs (just like any other pet) do need time and they will become great pets. :) Hope this helped a little and good luck with your new little family member. Best wishes- dafrizziwolf :)

  • i have one hedgehog and is very cute

  • i'm so excited to get mine :D can you take these little guys for walks, and do they like it?

  • @nessaluvs269 well... I don't take Ollie out for walks but I do take him outside a lot and he loves it.

  • what's your hedgehog meal plan?

i know roughly what to do but i dont know how much of what food,

i was thinking 2 meals a day? 1st with about 2tbsp of cat food, a vegetables and a meal worm or cricket. and 2nd with 1 meal worm, 2 tbsp of cat food, fruits and vegetables and a cricket or 2. Is this healthy? :p

  • @kendra112233 You have the right idea but the only thing I would change is that you should give him only 2 tbsp because I read in a hedgehog care manual that one of the leading health isues that hedgehogs face is obesity. I would recomend feeding your hedgehog 1tbsp for each of the meals. The other thing I would change is about giving him fruit. Fruit makes up a small part of a hedgehogs diet and it is best to give them very small amounts every couple days. Other than that, it's a good plan :)

  • soooooo adorable

  • @tamaxx2 thx :D

  • I love the video and the hedgehog ollie!!
