I think Nat addresses that when she confessed to Olivia that she loves her. She says she doesn't know when exactly but she said it became gradual over time. She realized as they were living day to day together raising Emma she realized that they were more than just friends. I think it becomes more apparent at Coop's funeral when she slips up talking Olivia down and especially after the horrible indiscretion with Frank that I can never bare to watch.,

He said she just had to explain the misunderstanding&Olivia admitted she didn't know how she feels about Nat but its more than a friend. Later Nat came back from seeing Frank at the hospital saying she wanted to come home to Olivia&said she'd go with her to see Phillip explaining that they both loved Emma&Olivia asked what they meant to each other..

GL's shooting schedule should allow them to work around the pregnancy unless JL has complications or otherwise wants a longer leave. I think that's the best option for staying true to the characters so far.

Episode # 15,611----Olivia is surprised to find out that Natalia is taking a weekend trip with Frank and is left feeling unsettled. Natalia visits Rafe and tries to change her mind about the vacation but Rafe lectures her to go and have fun. He reassures her that its what he and Gus want for her.
It's already been discussed on a few of these clips that Olivia talks about her feelings for Nat with someone, but I also read in a preview of next week's eps that Natalia presses Olivia about her true feelings.
It's going to be interesting how they handle this. Will one or both of them lie? Is a denial even a lie, or are they both still unsure? My guess is Olivia opens up to someone else, but when pressed by Nat, hedges. I'm wondering what prompts Nat to ask?
I read a recap somewhere that said Natalia visited Rafe and tried to talk herself out of going away with Frank, but Rafe encouraged her and said it was what he and Gus wanted. Does anyone have a clip of that?
Love the Otalia stuff with Natalia seeing Liv through this tough time, what a strong connection they have. I rewound the part where Nat says "you have me". They both complement each other so well. Oh and I want to echo what some other posters have said. I want my own Olivia clone, too!

Gotta hand it to GL, they are stepping up the game with this one. Even hair & wardrobe choices seem really important. Liv goes in for the power suits when she's defending the family (like with Alan & Doris) but is always softer when vulnerable w/E&N (Isn't this the same outfit as New Year's?) She also tends to have her hair pulled back from her face for tender moments with N when she's more open...which makes N's hair move even better, brushing away Phillip-induced defenses to get to real O!
So true. When Emma was talking butterflies and Olivia said she knew what sahe was talking about, you could see that she was thinking of Natalia. If they dont make this happen it will be so disappointing. I'm not getting my hopes up, but it has been exciting to watch these two women.

I like the way the writers are developing this storyline. The two of them have amazing chemistry. If they didnt have chemistry it would be horrible because they are allowing them to fall in love (on screen) instead of telling us that they are in love.Which is the opposite of AMC with Reese/Bianca, they just showed up from France. So their love story is in France ,it should have been told from France. But still I think the Reese character steal all the scenes from Bianca. She sales it really well
CC is really an amazing actress. She is capable to communicate exactly what she is supposed to communicate with just a look or the way she says a single word or the way she breathe. The butterfly scene was just emblematic of what I was writing about.
How ironic, I was just thinking this before I read the comments. I am loving this s/l. It is both beautifully written and beautifully acted. The chemistry is just amazing! I just love the way Natalia says "you have me," caresses Olivia's face, and how she looks at Olivia. Aww..
Side note- I would also like to have an Olivia clone.
All support is needed & will hopefully help keep the show going (ratings are not great) & I too hope that they follow through with it, but even if it doesn't end up going the way we want I think the show deserves a lot of praise for it because it has been written & acted so beautifully & I love the way they have included homophobia, because I don't really think that has been tackled before. GL deserves much better ratings than it gets. BTW can we clone Crystal..Do you think she'd mind..?!!
Am I wrong in thinking Nat is the first person who has ever cared for Liv with such sincerity and compassion? It is beautiful to see Liv responding so strongly to Nat's TLC. You can feel the relief and love welling up from Liv as Nat comforts her. Liv is not alone anymore. She no long has the "weight of the world" on her shoulders. That last scene is amazing! So beautifully played!!!
Natalia is such a calming spirit for Olivia. Just her touch and soft spoken words take Olivia away from her fears. This story is being told so beautifully & the awakening of new, unfamiliar feelings is all over their faces. The way Natalia's caressing Liv's hands, when her eyes tear up when telling Liv she will take care of her and when she says 'You have me' is so tender. The way Liv REALLY wimpers after that makes you realize the depth of her feelings. Natlia is in for the ride of her life!!!
Olivia looked relieved when she thougtht that Natalia and Frank were just visiting some of his friends and not going for a romantic weekend. I loved the look on her face when she was talking about the butterflies and she glanced at Natalia and then smiled to herself. Its so lovely, and Crystal ROCKS. She is doing such an amazing job of being strong, independant yet totally vulnerable when it comes to her feelings. Oh, and shes hot! I want one :o)

HELLO!!! Liv is totally realizing the depth and gravity of her feelings for Nat, AND she's assuming that she's the only one feeling this way. Nat has proven her discomfort about the idea of them being more than friends. Liv is scared and playing it safe. Interesting. She usually goes after what she wants with vengence. I LOVE this s/l !!!
Olivia's is SO head over heels in LOVE!When Emma asks her Mom if she knows about the butterflies in the stomach, Liv says "I know it well" and looks right at Nat and l then when Nat pushes Liv's hair out of her face and touches her cheek, the look on Olivia's face and those bedroom eyes just scream "I want to kiss you Natalia!" Now that's something I want to see. A real kiss between these two would be SMOKIN' HOT because of the months of build up to it!!

Another question from a GL newbie... how is is Natalia's son Rafe? I realize she had him when she was a teen (correct?), but how old is he supposed to be now? She's only 33 (according to imdb) so I was curious. I guess she's playing a little older than she really is.
Rafe is around 18 to 20. She did have him as a teenager and yes she's probably playing older than she is right now. God is Crystal Chappell amazing in this scene. As Olivia, you know that she's so "upset" about Natalia going away with Frank for the weekend where they would be all alone. Also, when Natalia comforts Olivia, I wished that they could have sat down and Olivia "holds" Natalia as though she's the only one who could protect her.

I just left the cbs website and watched today's episode....OMG I can't till you upload today's episode! Did you guys see the last part w/Otalia. Liv asked "two people who are what to each other" Nat didn't answered and just hugged her. I'm soooo happy right now!!! :-D

Thats true I guess. Olivia kissed Bill impulsively then admitted shes worried Phillips back to take Emma&told him about Em's 'My 2 Mommies' project. He said she just had to explain the misunderstanding&Olivia admitted she didn't know how she feels about Nat but its more than a friend. Later Nat came back from seeing Frank at the hospital saying she wanted to come home to Olivia&said she'd go with her to see Phillip explaining that they both loved Emma&Olivia asked what they meant to each other..

Check out cbs's webite to see a preview of next week's show. Liv kisses Bill after he tries to calm her down and reminds her that she'll be ok b/c she has him and Natalia. I think this is when she'll tell him about her feelings for Natalia, I can't wait!

GL's shooting schedule should allow them to work around the pregnancy unless JL has complications or otherwise wants a longer leave. I think that's the best option for staying true to the characters so far.

It's already been discussed on a few of these clips that Olivia talks about her feelings for Nat with someone, but I also read in a preview of next week's eps that Natalia presses Olivia about her true feelings.
It's going to be interesting how they handle this. Will one or both of them lie? Is a denial even a lie, or are they both still unsure? My guess is Olivia opens up to someone else, but when pressed by Nat, hedges. I'm wondering what prompts Nat to ask?

I read a recap somewhere that said Natalia visited Rafe and tried to talk herself out of going away with Frank, but Rafe encouraged her and said it was what he and Gus wanted. Does anyone have a clip of that?

Anyway, what about the Natalia/Rafe visit? I am curious why she was talking bout canceling her trip, or did that not happen too?

Natalia has not visited Rafe on screen in quite awhile. That's why I am curious where you read that recap. If you find it please let me know.

Love the Otalia stuff with Natalia seeing Liv through this tough time, what a strong connection they have. I rewound the part where Nat says "you have me". They both complement each other so well. Oh and I want to echo what some other posters have said. I want my own Olivia clone, too!

Gotta hand it to GL, they are stepping up the game with this one. Even hair & wardrobe choices seem really important. Liv goes in for the power suits when she's defending the family (like with Alan & Doris) but is always softer when vulnerable w/E&N (Isn't this the same outfit as New Year's?) She also tends to have her hair pulled back from her face for tender moments with N when she's more open...which makes N's hair move even better, brushing away Phillip-induced defenses to get to real O!

So true. When Emma was talking butterflies and Olivia said she knew what sahe was talking about, you could see that she was thinking of Natalia. If they dont make this happen it will be so disappointing. I'm not getting my hopes up, but it has been exciting to watch these two women.

it is a red herring spoiler from November about Frank and Nat giving romance a try in 2009 which is what I believe we are seeing. Better spoilers can be found at the Otalia fan forum.

I like the way the writers are developing this storyline. The two of them have amazing chemistry. If they didnt have chemistry it would be horrible because they are allowing them to fall in love (on screen) instead of telling us that they are in love.Which is the opposite of AMC with Reese/Bianca, they just showed up from France. So their love story is in France ,it should have been told from France. But still I think the Reese character steal all the scenes from Bianca. She sales it really well

CC is really an amazing actress. She is capable to communicate exactly what she is supposed to communicate with just a look or the way she says a single word or the way she breathe. The butterfly scene was just emblematic of what I was writing about.

How ironic, I was just thinking this before I read the comments. I am loving this s/l. It is both beautifully written and beautifully acted. The chemistry is just amazing! I just love the way Natalia says "you have me," caresses Olivia's face, and how she looks at Olivia. Aww..

All support is needed & will hopefully help keep the show going (ratings are not great) & I too hope that they follow through with it, but even if it doesn't end up going the way we want I think the show deserves a lot of praise for it because it has been written & acted so beautifully & I love the way they have included homophobia, because I don't really think that has been tackled before. GL deserves much better ratings than it gets. BTW can we clone Crystal..Do you think she'd mind..?!!

Am I wrong in thinking Nat is the first person who has ever cared for Liv with such sincerity and compassion? It is beautiful to see Liv responding so strongly to Nat's TLC. You can feel the relief and love welling up from Liv as Nat comforts her. Liv is not alone anymore. She no long has the "weight of the world" on her shoulders. That last scene is amazing! So beautifully played!!!

Natalia is such a calming spirit for Olivia. Just her touch and soft spoken words take Olivia away from her fears. This story is being told so beautifully & the awakening of new, unfamiliar feelings is all over their faces. The way Natalia's caressing Liv's hands, when her eyes tear up when telling Liv she will take care of her and when she says 'You have me' is so tender. The way Liv REALLY wimpers after that makes you realize the depth of her feelings. Natlia is in for the ride of her life!!!

Olivia looked relieved when she thougtht that Natalia and Frank were just visiting some of his friends and not going for a romantic weekend. I loved the look on her face when she was talking about the butterflies and she glanced at Natalia and then smiled to herself. Its so lovely, and Crystal ROCKS. She is doing such an amazing job of being strong, independant yet totally vulnerable when it comes to her feelings. Oh, and shes hot! I want one :o)

O - Em, you know, sometimes you don't always get what you want. Things are just what they are.
HELLO!!! Liv is totally realizing the depth and gravity of her feelings for Nat, AND she's assuming that she's the only one feeling this way. Nat has proven her discomfort about the idea of them being more than friends. Liv is scared and playing it safe. Interesting. She usually goes after what she wants with vengence. I LOVE this s/l !!!

Olivia's is SO head over heels in LOVE!When Emma asks her Mom if she knows about the butterflies in the stomach, Liv says "I know it well" and looks right at Nat and l then when Nat pushes Liv's hair out of her face and touches her cheek, the look on Olivia's face and those bedroom eyes just scream "I want to kiss you Natalia!" Now that's something I want to see. A real kiss between these two would be SMOKIN' HOT because of the months of build up to it!!

I LOVE Emma and her asking her mom if she wanted Nat to leave, go Emma! I think she'll be the one to nudge them together eventually. Another question from a GL newbie... how is is Natalia's son Rafe? I realize she had him when she was a teen (correct?), but how old is he supposed to be now? She's only 33 (according to imdb) so I was curious. I guess she's playing a little older than she really is.

I think I heard a comment that Rafe will be turning 18 or has turned 18 so that would make her around 36 on the show I'm thinking.

Rafe is around 18 to 20. She did have him as a teenager and yes she's probably playing older than she is right now. God is Crystal Chappell amazing in this scene. As Olivia, you know that she's so "upset" about Natalia going away with Frank for the weekend where they would be all alone. Also, when Natalia comforts Olivia, I wished that they could have sat down and Olivia "holds" Natalia as though she's the only one who could protect her.
