While Gooteks Rog probably is pretty basic, look at what a basic Rog did to Daigo at evo29K. Hell, Daigos Ryu is so basic he barely uses ex moves. Basic gameplay isn't a bad thing, you don't have to throw out a million combos and shit like that to be a good player.
