I dedicate this song to my dad, who passed away three hours ago after a long and difficult struggle with bladder cancer. RIP Dad, I will always love you.
My step dad just passed away and its bin the hardest thing i have ever went through!!! this song it what gets me by everyday................ Its such a powerful song to me!!!!
My music teacher played this and she ha us SING it too and i SUCK at singing but anyway I am also a metal fan lol I LOVE Avenged Sevenfold too!!! lol but anyway i LOVE this song now.
The Beatles were the most significant phenomenom to occur in the world of music since the original masters that wrote classical music. Just think what Mozart or Beethoven would have done with electrical amplified music.
It's so weird I'm a metal listener you know avenged sevenfold and stuff and a big grunge fan. But this song came on the radio as i was driving to class and i couldn't help singing along while listening when i caught on the lyrics. Damn, these guys turned a metal guy into a fan! :D Just bought an album today too! lol

@carpenter1030 don't mind 'em ma'am. probably some justin bieber fan. I was a teenager when metallica and megadeth rose to fame and I love them. but I know how to appreciate good music when I hear one. beatles is alright.

1964, Paul feels his love is unappreciated by the girl.. So he loses her friendship by leaving for any horizon.. " Someday, you'll know, i was the one..." he still believes they Are meant to be. 1969, "Don't keep me waiting here, lead me to your door" He still believes they Were meant to be....
On October 9th we will all watch "Imagine" in honor of the greatest singer ever's birthday. Let's give him the best birthday present ever: the highest viewed video on YouTube!! Let's give him what he deserves and what Justin Bieber does not deserve to have!
Copy and paste to all John lennon/beatles videos and all music videos let's get this noticed quickly!
you were right LiveOnJohn40.the word "BEAT" is in their name.that is why they are unBEATable. in a sort of way,i was a lucky teen in the 60's, but then all the BEATLES fans from the 60's to the present are lucky because we can still listen to their music. The Beatles may no longer be around, but their legacy and their music will live on forever.
hi WalrusMuffins10797, i think u were born in the right generation. u know why? because if we the older generation fans go, u the younger generation fans will take over and carry the torch for THE BEATLES' legacy to stay on. keep on listening to the music and pass it on to your generation.
I'm 15 and I love The Beatles. I do, however, not see how that makes me any more important than any other of the millions of Beatles fans out there... no wait... billions of Beatles fans.
John is the manliest man of all the men in the world of men to be able to say "I'm man" and be convinced of there own manliness through sheer thoughts and manliness.
The greatest artist ,writers, singers and personalities this world will ever see.I am so glad i have lived in a lifetime where the Beatles have always been there. There will "never"be anything like them ever again.4 lads from Liverpool who shook the world.
I totally agree with you Carpenter1030, best thing since sliced bread. In fact even better than that. Like you I grew up with their music and have not found anything that beats it. Shame there are only 2 left.
hi williwo, u know maybe you're right, but let's face it, The Beatles exploded in such a way that either of the bands u mentioned experienced the way The Beatles did. it was massive explosion on all four corners of the world. They were branded the #1 band at the height of their popularity. Others just followed. so i could safely say here that "they're the best band that ever lived." some fans may disagree with me, just like u, but i'm just stating a fact. thanks for your comment. keep it coming.
this is in reply to the comment of qcortez20. i respect your opinion about The Beatles. You consider Led Z as your #1 band, so be it. i have no quarrel with that. i respect everyone's likes and dislikes.as the saying goes, to each his own. but i noticed you used the word AMAZING to describe The Beatles, well, what can isay? that's just the way they were AMAZING. by the way , you didn't mention your age. are we cool qcortez20? BEATLES FOREVER!
i was a teenager when the beatles hit it big all over the world. i'm 62 now and i'm still crazy over this group. for me they are the best group that ever came into the music scene. the best group that ever lived.in other words they are second to none. i don't get tired listening to their songs. i just love them. BEATLES-UNBEATABLE. PERIOD.
@carpenter1030 I have to agree that the Beatles were incredibly talented and I, too, am a huge Beatles fan, but they're second in MY list (but that's just me). My number one is, without any doubt, Led Zeppelin. But not by much, though. Still, Beatles were AMAZING
@carpenter1030 I can understand what you're saying to a degree. But Led Zeppelin gives them an easy run for their money. So do the Stones and Pink Floyd. There is no "Best group that ever lived." Its all personal preference. They are certainly second to none in terms of sales(not including Elvis.) But giving them automatic #1 is unfair to other massively talented bands. But it is your opinion though.....so u have a right to it
@carpenter1030 I remember I was in 8th grade when the Beatles first landed in New York. All my classmates agreed to drop something on the floor at 2PM, their arrival time. Poor Sister Mary Magdalene didn't know what the hell was going on when all these books, and pencils started flying off desks at the same time. You're right, their music is still magical and it's good to see new generations discovering it. Especially when you consider the quality of modern music.
@carpenter1030 That's why the word 'Beat' is in their name, John wanted people to know they could beat their opposition (even though it's music, not sport) haha you were a lucky person to be a teen for the 60's!
@clarinerd123: of course they sing about sex, girls and even violence (run for your life) but they do it more great, more genius, more kind and more everlasting than any other band or singer in the world. that's why they are THE BEATLES.
My dad passed on 5/2 and his friend played a few songs.. one was clapton tears in heaven and the 2nd was this and i had no idea who it was.. Never heard this song but i love it !!!
If you look up "lucky" in the dictionary they shoudl have George Harrison & Ringo Star picture there. How sad that Julian Lennon couldnt afford to go to college because not enough moeny due to george & ringo royalty.
This song is just beautiful!! The Beatles are just phenomenal!! Truly magnificent!! This song takes me back to days of true happiness and innocence. I miss those days. My heart just aches for those days so much. What a time that was. Never to be forgotten! There was a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is a real shame. This song is pure magic in itself!! Missing those days but hold the memories in my heart forever!! ♥♥
I remember listening to all the Beatles music on the radio after John was killed and crying like everyone else, then this one came on and just tore me up. Its so sweet and pure. Follow the sun John. carolyn
Interesting story;the Beatles were one song short on Beatles For Sale,Paul dug this one out, a tune he wrote in 1958 on a beach somewhere. They didn't spend too much on this song, thats why George's solo is so short and easy.
@hoth260 It doesn't need to be. It's perfect. Only The Beatles could take 2 minutes and three seconds and make it perfectly satisfying in its own way. Any longer and wouldn't be the same.
This song is one of my favourite Beatle's - in the top 10 from my list of all time favourite Beatle songs. Love the almost folky sound/arrangement to it..
beatles for sale was the last of the patchy early lp's. Those early ones were parsons egg- good in parts, but ordinary in others. This song is one of the best ones on it, along with 'Loser', 'No Reply', '8 Days', ' What youre doing' and the cover of 'Rock n Roll Music' The rest is filler
Creative Beatles started with Help, but Rubber Soul is my favourite (plus White Album)
I was never much of a Beatles fan. But then my girlfriend showed me this song the other night, and I decided to give the band a chance. I'm finding more and move songs that I like by these guys now...
@henrytranFF Oh just wait my friend... i personally suggest you dont even start because you will be permanetly hooked and i mean hooked. i start to have withdrawals if i dont hear one of 'the boys' songs, not kidding either
@colins27 i know how it feels. i eventually had to put the songs on my phone cuz my cd player broke....i think i went about a week then...but i could do no more. i have to listen atleast once a day to satisfy...lmao.
i listen to a lot of the the slow when i cant sleep. just a few songs and im in the land of nod :)
@1995Sian Thats hilarious because I had to do the same thing with my phone lol cause my car stereo speakers blew and i just needed to hear john's voice...so i illegealy downloaded (plz dont rat me out) the songs onto my phone, but i got my speakers fixed and now i blast music again and spread the love all over!
Heard this song on the radio.Could'nt get it out of my head.

Interesting story;the Beatles were one song short on Beatles For Sale,Paul dug this one out, a tune he wrote in 1958 on a beach somewhere. They didn't spend too much on this song, thats why George's solo is so short and easy.

1:05-1:10 = six chords of pure awesomeness. Nothing too much. Perfect solo.

great song, wish it was longer tho
hoth260 1 year ago

@henrytranFF Oh just wait my friend... i personally suggest you dont even start because you will be permanetly hooked and i mean hooked. i start to have withdrawals if i dont hear one of 'the boys' songs, not kidding either
colins27 1 year ago
@colins27 i know how it feels. i eventually had to put the songs on my phone cuz my cd player broke....i think i went about a week then...but i could do no more. i have to listen atleast once a day to satisfy...lmao.
i listen to a lot of the the slow when i cant sleep. just a few songs and im in the land of nod :)
1995Sian 1 year ago
@1995Sian Thats hilarious because I had to do the same thing with my phone lol cause my car stereo speakers blew and i just needed to hear john's voice...so i illegealy downloaded (plz dont rat me out) the songs onto my phone, but i got my speakers fixed and now i blast music again and spread the love all over!
colins27 1 year ago
@colins27 nah... i wont rat you out :)....i got the songs from a cd that my uncle copied for me lol
