It seems drones attack is only the way to flush out hiding militants...a more effective way to handle this menace.........ppl of pakistan accepted it .i don t how far it is truth....any comment
We people of Pakistan consider drone attacks major source of unrest in Pakistan. If some country would be doing it on USA (no matter how worse the situation is) Would you like it? If we can handle them in SWAT and South Waziristan then we can handle them any where in Pakistan but due to these drone attacks we lost any moral ground. What will you say about the civilian deaths in these drone attacks? Would it be ok to kill 100 civilians to kill one 'suspected' terrorist?
one thing is crystal clear and written on the wall that USA is not going to win this war. At the end either it ll have to do the truce with Afghan Taliban or failing that have to face the fate of Russia. This war is not sustainable both in terms of cost and causalities. If US get out now then it will save atleast Pakistan to fall into extremists hands. US existence fuelling the extremism in my country,Even the moderate or pro-west people are turning against US.
If they don't care about the northern area of Pakistan send in the Marines and let US take control, then the Pakistanis would bitch, but the warlords they don't control are OK? What the hell?
Pakistan can't really call it part of Pakistan [the lawless northern areas] unless they take control of the area.........warlords have no place in a modern state or country.
Do I need to remind you sir that who have created these warlords? It was USA using them against Russia and US want them to finish them in seconds? And mind you we do care about east inch of our country and will do what ever we can to save it.
You should have never allow your country to fight a proxy war for the USA, if that is what you mean, disarm the warlords and civilians then see if there is peace. In Post War 2 Germany we diarmed the populace and military.
ofcourse thats what every country should be doing and thats what we are trying to do by sending our troops in swat and south waziristan and bearing all the brunt as a result of that but drone attacks are not helping in that. It is having reverse effect because then it becomes foreign occupation and give the legitimacy to the local tribes to keep the arms to fight the foreign occupation.
drone attacks can't differeniate between the innocent civilians and militants. To isolate militants you need to win the heart of local people and you cant do that by killing their dear ones.
