  • i love walmart it is a shining beacon of capitalism!!

  • I love this. So many fabulous points. 1. laws are much easier to pass than they are to reverse. Example: the law on drugs has been thoroughly proven as detrimental to this country, even cops are making organizations to have the laws taken away, and they aren't exactly potheads.

    2. They're calling it "climate change" now, so true! no matter which way the climate changes you can claim that you predicted it !

  • I seriously doubt there are any college students brave enough to defend capitalism. Remember Sophia Scholl, anybody?

  • I defend it, not actively, but I do defend it whenever I'm confronted.

  • Seconded

  • Yaron speaks with such great knowledge. Foundation of Ayn Rand that if you can conceptulize the big picture he is talking about you are ahead of the average joe. Revolution!

  • I've a problem with his natural disaster comment though......it took a gov't a LONG time to reply. Not only that, they actually REFUSED to help Katrina victims.

I know that after the 2001 earthquake in India, they picked themselves as quickly as they could, and they got right to it.

  • where did you hear that about Katrina?

Cause, the Governer of a State, has to declare it a National Disaster, before FEMA steps in, and I heard the second that document reached Bush's desk, it was signed and FEMA was on the way

And for the record, FEMA hands out checks to the local Government, they don't directly intervene, so just make sure you aim your grievances at the State and local Governments in this case

It was their ineptness that was the problem, not the FEDs, but I do hate the FEDs

  • Yaron in the first of the two messages indicated that there has been warming over the last 100 years but over the last 10 it has been flat to slightly down. That is true.

  • Thank you for this video.

  • Just say "I don't accept man made climate change." It's such a small thing and yet, can have such a huge impact.

  • Aren't you splitting hairs though?

His main point, even if mis-stated cause hes foreign, is very simple

And he even clarifies it. his stance is; if you hear people talking about global warming, you say, "I don't believe it"

Global warming, he does clarify, means man made, yes the planet goes up, and down, and left, and right, his point is, if people talk about Man being responsible, you say, "I don't believe it"

Then make them prove their claim, which they cannot do

  • Even Al Gores temperature graph in his movie shows the temp leveling off, check that out

  • Global Warming!!! Oh my God, we're all gonna die!

Global Cooling!!! Oh my God, we're all gonna die!

    What's next? Global...Spinning??!!!

The Earth is rotating on its axis!!!! Oh my God, we're all gonna die!

If only Global Socialism could save us all in time...[sigh]

  • The world is spinning? OH GOD! Why did you tell me this!?

I have to worry about warming and cooling, Droughts and flooding, Rain and no Rain,

    And now SPINNING too!!!

How is Al Gore going to save us from this??? This, SPINNING you speak of?!?!?!

  • Ad-hominem baiting again johnno, that's a no-no.

  • hindsight is 20 / 20

  • At any instant in time Earth is warming or cooling.

To simply say it is doing either of those things doesn't mean all that much.

Sure, you can pick a window of time and you can take averages such that it looks like its getting warmer or cooler.

However historically nothing that is happening now is unusual or extreme, and that IS the point.

  • Ok johnno, ok. I rest comfortably from doing my own research and from seeing the number of learned sceptics as posted to you earlier hugely outnumber the IPCC panel who concocted this politically driven theory.

  • I am not going to use tiny comment boxes to paste 1000s of pages of scientific data and argument challenging the theory. It is impractical to say the least. If you do not want to do you own research fine. But if you are leaning on the warming side without doing research you run by belief as much as you accuse me of doing, so come of your pedestal.

  • johnnowak, quite a quick slide from rational into a cocktail of barely concealed ad hominem and non sequiturs. Thanks for playing.

  • Earth has been warming and cooling for BILLIONS of years and has frequently had higher average temperatures than we have now, way before we became industrialised. Your point is moot. Thanks for playing. Google "History of Ice Ages and Warming".

  • I think he did a good job. Get it now?

  • You said what we need are informed sceptics, now you act like its not good enough to have them in large numbers. Lovely work Johnno.

  • 8. Now you are shifting away from a scientific discussion about global warming into a moral argument for capitalism. Here is my argument for capitalism. I like working and owning my body and the products and services that I produce and the rewards from the result of that work. Do you dislike this position? That's too bad if you do, I don't care and I will protect my property from socialist minded thieves as much as government allows me too.

  • >> 1. There are more universities out there than the ones you have attended and visited. Would you like to conduct a scientific survey ?

  • Google "Global Warming Petition Project"

31,478 American scientists have signed this petition, including 9,029 with PhDs

Is that enough informed sceptics for you Johnno?

  • Most Ph.D's in that list do not agree about it anymore, or never had. :)

  • 7. If you're looking for data, you can search the web for it. This video was a point of view video, if scientific data was to be looked through, the video would by necessity need to run for hours and the audience would likely consist of scientists.

  • 6. Maximising your own carbon foot print is perfectly fine, to achieve maximum quality of life if we agree that the CO2 Global Warming is not affected in any significant way by human activity.

There is plenty of dissenting views on global warming driven by human activity. Tens of thousands of scientists question the whole theory.

  • 5. Post your own video.

  • 4. Your point regarding moral argument is bizarre. Perhaps you can expand on your point.

  • 3. Government intervention and free market capitalism are not the same as you said. He mentioned Walmart trying to help before FEMA.

  • 1. Not necessarily true they will be laughed out.

    2. If you state that earth is warming, post period and source your data.

  • A very odd interview indeed. He has already said that pollution should be punished, so I don't really see the point of this video. If CO2 does raise the earth's temperature then it obviously falls under pollution. If it doesn't then speaking out should be done by scientists. Sorry, but Yaron simply doesnt have the credentials to claim global warming doesnt exist, so he should leave it to the scientists.

  • Email FOx News and tell them to stop with the "Clean Coal" commercials or you will stop watching. Clean Coal is a scam and waste of resources.

  • Another political ideologist telling students, what they should think about climate science?
