I used to go there every February to get away from the New York snow storms...def one of my favorite getaways...havn't been there in a few years...Its time for me to go there again! Islemorada is better, less tourisum and a little ways from Kokoma. That's where I travel every year or so. I all was wish to go back, I miss my home so much. : (

I love this!! I have visited the keys on several occasions but I live in Washington state & plan on moving to the keys when I retire from Boeing in a few more years. Save me a seat at the bar!!! Sunshine every day would be an amazing change from all the rain, snow & cold weather we get here...

Yes, it is a real place, The Kokomo that is being sung in the song is actually the Kokomo bar which is in Islamorada, Florida
