  • how are these types of karate matches judged? They seem to involve either pushing them back to a corner or injuring them.

  • I practice lethwei, so this was completley and totally uneventful for me.

  • GAY BUNCH OF FAGS WHY WAS THAT MAN DOING ALL THOSE GAY LITTLE TWIRLS ONLY TIME I SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT WAS IN BALLEI DANCING !! SOOOO FUCKING GAY

  • @dobsondale oh yes this comes from guy who sits probably on his arse 24/7 yawnnnnn

  • Gotta love looking at a competition fighter's hands, always strapped, it's amazing what the can do to your ribs though

  • In a professional fight(no body protection) it's much better to use really fast and strong blows and do it quickly so you can ether K.O. the opponent or do a T.K.O. before you get too tired.

  • dude is way more aggressive than the others

  • kyokushin is the best!!!

  • i am a grappler and would love to fight these guys

  • they aren't even fighting! They move slow and tired when you need speed and power. Anywon in martial arts who knows this would kick circles around them.

  • very boring,

if i knew karate i would run around hitting them in the chest, i would have jackie chaned their asses!

  • karate sux xD

  • Karate sucks? - Just look at Bas rutten, 5th degree blackbelt in kyokushin. And George St. Pierre from the UFC?

  • And its not even about who is who in the UFC. Tell me how karate "sux" ?

  • just kidding ^^

  • What's the matter? You get your ass beat by someone who knows karate too many times?

  • its a likin park song,

  • WHAT SONG IS IT?

  • paranoid

  • cool video XD but..

wats the song i hear on the back...

  • boring

  • yeah i concur. The punches look ackward. punches in karate are used just as much as kicks, but if headshots arent allowed, then whats the point? only if their really damn hard, but you can see those coming a mile away. i would just attack my opponent with a whirlwind of kicks.

  • In my eyes these are fantastic!!!

  • there not bringing there hands and feet back fast enough they need to re'chamber.

  • they are super good like amzing

  • it s okay to kick your opponents head, but not punching it? Oo wtf? can someone explain this?

i d just punch his head till he goes down..

  • When you punch the head frequently, like in for example boxing, you get brain damage.

Here you can kick to the head, while its just as hard or maybe even harder, the hits are not frequent, keeping the fighters safer.

  • punches look funny if its not to the head. i'm thinking, whats the point? i'd kick circles around these guys.

  • Just cause They dont punch To the face in competitions Due to the No gloves. Does not mean they dont train it. Would you really Kick circles around Bas rutten? Andrew Nakahara, or GSP? All kyokushin background.

  • rather tae kwon do...

  • lol, i love how alot of people on youtube think they're experts on the martial arts

  • i know wat you mean dude like they always keep there guard down thats not what karate is really bout its bout one hit one punch

  • :) very good

  • I agree 100 percent but wat do you mean by mix gracie jiu jitsu and karate like do you mean use the take downs and submissions like jiu jitsu and the strikes like the karate or what

  • linkin park: PAPERCUT

  • This is Kumite, no head punches involved.

George Saint Pierre, the UFC welterweight champion of the world right now is a black belt in Kyokushin Karate wich is he's base style, and he made it all the way.

  • its all about instinct

  • can someone tell me... in a karate bout do you actually kick and hit the person as hard as you can? and what is the difference between an adult fight and a kids fight around 14 years old? and one more question do all karate clubs te4ach you the same fighting?

    thank you

  • It is different in every tournament, where I compete, age doesn't matter for contact rules... but before black belt you get penalties for excesive force to the head, at black belt you can do almost anything you want except like elbows and nut shots. But that is just the one I compete in, others are different.

  • Don't forget that the movie is in competition. And it has its limits because it's a sport. But in training we also excercise grabbeling, takedowns and punches to the head.

And the competition : enter a kyokushin competition and try to knock someone down with a blow to the middlezone or a kick to the head. It seems simple on a video, but is not. When you can grabble or punch to the face in competion it is more easy to knock down your fighter. Osu!

  • yow!!! and u still remember all d katas in d past?!!if i wanna continue karate til i finally become a black belt, i'll have to remember alot!!!! ur a pro!!!!!!!!

  • true, it helps so much for those things. do u take karate? plus, helps get ur anger out! :D

  • Yes I take karate. It's really fun too! And you're right. I used to get irritated easily but when I took karate I started to tire myself out and teaching the kids helped me become so much more patient. :)

  • wow! nice!!!!!! u teach kids karate??? that's amazing! what belt are u?

  • Well our class is usually pretty big, so our master makes some of his students teach the white belts and stuff. All belt rank systems are different but I'm a brown belt. In our system that's one rank away from black. What belt are you?

  • yes, i know d system. u must learning karate for months huh? well, i'm a lower ranks than u. i'm yellow. ur gonna be an expert when u get black! are u testing for it? how many stripes are u testing for it? or did u just get your brown?

  • I'm close, but it'll take a long time before I get there! In my belt system, there is three ranks in brown. Third, Second and First. I'm a first degree and I'm working on black. When did you start karate?

  • umm, about 2 months ago. u?

  • 18 months.

  • wow! that's cool! so that means u know all d Kata right?

  • Karate actually is really good for you and it can beat a kick boxer or boxer.

These guys are just a little slow and sloppy when they fight.

In karate there are techniques where you defend against a gun, a knife, clubs, just about anything.

So just because these guys let themselves open doesn't mean you should judge karate all together.

  • no dude ur wrong

  • i take Karate!

  • lol random...XD

  • i love those clips when they are like fighting slow then all of a sudden one dude does like a 300 kick into the pit of death thing and the other dude doesnt expect it at all! rofl

  • I think hxcmexi is full of shit and he's baiting people.

  • me love karate meyagi he my idol

  • i love karate my father have black belt!

  • I did.

You just need to stop ignoring the facts.

How can you be so sure?

I keep providing you with some of the facts. How about you start providing me with some and start explaining your statement instead of just saying it with no further evidence?

  • That's pretty ignorant.

As I have said before, some of the world's top fighter are doing Karate. Like Lyoto Machida, Andy Hug, etc. You just generalized and made a conjecture, and that's pretty ignorant in my opinion. While these guys doing Karate are beating up boxers and kick boxers, guys like you are criticizing Karate like that. Do some research because nowadays, boxers are doing a lot worst all around against other styles.

  • That's pretty good.

But just because some can't handle it means that style sucks? Stick with kick boxing and boxing instead? Does that mean everybody that does kick boxing and boxing can beat anybody who's doing Karate? You can never really define the effectiveness of the style like that and can never define individuals either just because that person takes a certain style.

Can you explain why it's so bad? No strikes to the head does not mean it's bad by the way.

  • Oh, well than against you're not just some bluff and seem to be a good guy.

People who usually say those kinds of things were usually posers who's just acting tough. But just because it doesn't include punches to the face it sucks. There's guys like Andy Hug, Glaube Feitosa, Semmy Schilt, and other Karate fighters who's doing pretty successfully on the ring against other styles.

  • I used to beat up black belts when I was a yellow belt. Having black belts doesn't really mean much. I even saw old ladies that has black belts.

Now in tournaments, are you talking about this bare knuckles tournament? Or those amateur kick boxing tournaments wearing full gears? Because I experienced both and the bare knuckles tournament was more tough for me.

PS: Talking shit to other KIDS who thought they were tough and that's it? Just stick with the part where you entered tournaments.

  • Are you saying that you fought in the actual tournament where there's no protective gears whatsoever hxcmexi?

Or are you saying that you walked away after saying couple of shit to people in that tournament?

  • Trained fighters with strong fists are punching each other full force with bare knuckles to the body and chest and kicking each other and they're not wearing any protective gears except for their groin cup.

It doesn't include any punches to the face but that doesn't mean they suck. They have harder bodies than any average boxers who's constantly getting hit with those big gloves, and some people like it because you won't go stupid since there's no strikes to the face with your punches.

  • i'll throw punches like in boxing n still beat em they lookin kinda stupid

  • Finaly a real karate video Nice Man 5*****

  • NICE VIDEO

  • I seem to recall reading somewhere that he wanted to improve karate, stand-up, rather than a ground game. Enshin founder Joko Ninomiya was sandan in judo, also, and has incorporated a lot of that in his style. However, his teacher (Ashihara), when he did both, said: "choose one", maybe to spend all your training on one art, rather than both?

  • enter any oyama style based tournament and walk your talk....osu! ROFLMAO

  • i know you cannot hit the face with your fist, but are you allowed to use elbows in this type of match?

  • nice combo at 3:20

  • is this in Holland, i maybe recognised a member of my dojo.

  • in a way, but then Kyokushin-kai has branched out into so many other styles, Oyama, Shidokan, Enshin, Ashihara, and they use sweeps, etc. It has stayed as a "stand-up" game, put it this way, Joko Ninomiya said that he doing both, Judo and Kiyokushin-kai, his teacher said, "choose one."

  • its not so easy especially if other forms dnot show the real respect to the karate do, there re soo many clones frmothe real karate do from tomari te, naha te so i only have respect to shito ryu, shoto khan, Kyokushin , and perhaps also wado ryu and goju ryu...shito kahi and others are clones from shotokhanfor example same to wdo ryu frmo shito ryu

  • Each martial art is influenced by the context in which it was developed and used. All the different forms of Karate, or any other martial art can be used efficiently. It isn't so much a matter of the martial art, as the user. How proficient and experienced he/she is.

  • I raelly understand what you mean but it doesnt matter how good you are if the base is low profile..

  • You're right and I usually say the same. I just get pissed when ppl write stuff like "you wouldn't last 20 sec against a kyokushin karateka!". So I point out thier limitations. I don't say it's bad, I just see the flaws.

  • most kyokushin-kai fighters can take on muay thai kickboxers, blow per blow, round per round, true Oyama didn't teach ground techniques, of course, that is because you were laying on the ground, after he hit you, and he was standing!

  • If there are only 2 styles you show respect then maybe you should quit Karate because you obviously miss the point. I have been in the martial arts for 25 years now and would be ashamed of myself if my students were as disrespectful as you. on a positive note Kyukushin does rock!

  • no i did not miss the point, you missunderstood what i tried to say, you made 25 yers me too since i am 6.. well 26 years :-) i start with judo than i started withshotokhankarrate (1stdan)and now shito ryu(2nd dan andclose to make the exmanto 3rd dan) and i didnt disrespect other styles like goju ryu wdo ryu8almost the same) or other ryus .-p but they are lousy and simple, and dont have the real spirit of karate, everyone says to make karate, so i guess my point was good :-p

  • my shihan (kyokushin/ashihara/enshin) always used to say, "don't badmouth other styles" Osu!

  • i totally agreed with you, some people can keep their mouth shut and always say they are the best in this and that or this one better than the other. This people are too arrogant and ignorant of other styles and techniques. This people go around with a big 'kill me' sign on them and someone might response to it one day

  • there is only one thing to say about kyokushin: it is the strongest karate of the whole world. those who say there's no speed or power or tactics or something else in kyokushin karate, that's all bullshit!!! this is full contact karate, without speed, power, tactics, movement ,guard ,... you wouldn't last 20 sec against a kyokushin karateka!!!

  • how long would you last??

  • tough!respect
