  • just to maybe help a bit or give you something to try: I'm from Louisiana and we creole to the fullest lol, but usually instead of using DAY OLD CORNBREAD we use MEXICAN CORNBREAD which has peppers and seasonings and all that and we boil our chicken on the bone OR CHICKEN BREAST shred it and we boil our vegetables with it so by the time its done, Technically its chicken broth lol add that and CREAM OF MUSHROOM/CELERY and maybe 2 or 3 eggs season as desired and put in oven and VIOLA!!! :)

  • How do you make corn bread?

  • Where is the actual recipe???

  • love, love watching your video's. you're so wonderful. keep them coming

  • I made this, but i tweaked it to make it my own. I used turkey sausage and boy was it good. I also used several other seasonings. DELICIOUS............

  • i made this for Turkey Day! It was so good. I was so surprised and the fam and guess loved it.

  • just made it and even before i cooked it it tasted F#@#ING GREAT LOL , give granny a hug for this reciepe

  • Will b making this in the morning!

  • Have you ever used ground sage pork , it really adds a nice kick.

  • Looks great n yummy!!!! what r the seasonings u used?

  • see you play toooo much....lol. *mouth watering*...I love me some dressing. Easy Recipe. Thanks for sharing.

  • i was wondering, do i have to use an egg to hold it together? can i just bake it without the egg?

  • You are the cornbread cookin' queen. (:

  • Wow whoever disliked this video must be pure jealous, You are AMAZING!! Thank you so much, you bring ideas, and Joy to Youtube's Cooking community hun. Big Huggs :)) God Bless you sweety...

  • I ABSOLUTELY HATE DRESSING!!! But I would actually try this...lol

  • LOL @ everybody trying to re-write the Diva's recipe! Everybody's got their own version from their own grandma!

  • @IrisMG LOL dressing is a touchy recipe! Nobody makes it better than "their grandma". I love it!

  • I put celery in mine with all the other veggies you showed. Also i put melted butter across the top so when it comes out it is nice and crisp! So good. I also use the broth from my boiled chicken to put in the dressing. When I cook my chicken I also put onion, garlic, bell pepper, and celery in it. To make the broth better! This looks great!

  • @derekandkeyasha01 failed to mention, I put an egg or 2 in(depending on how much I cook) as well to hold it all together.

  • @derekandkeyasha01 yummy!!! sounds divine!!!

  • @derekandkeyasha01

Gone ahead and made a video response ! Sounds good, how you're describing it!

  • dressing = stuffing ???

  • @meluvself dressing equals dressing

  • @meluvself Dressing is the cornbread stuffing on the side..so it "dresses" the main meat dish. Stuffing is used solely to "stuff" a bird. Yes it's the same thing but used differently. : )

  • @annettemint oooh ok thanks so much!

  • just gained a lbs watching this video:)

  • no red peppers in mine and we use the broth from the turkey also no eggs either but im on teh fence about the eggs it does bind it all together well but looks delish!!!

  • i use boneless skinless chicken thigh it has more flavor

  • @Demario713 right on! I think I'll try chicken thighs this year.

  • @divascancook thighs give it a awesome flavor I agree!

  • I never heard of the broth seasonings. I will have to find that in the store. Thanks for the video!

  • down here in new Orleans we use French bread,um um good

  • I make mine similar to yours, but I like to add Louisiana crawfish to mine. Looks yummy!

  • Oh yummy. I have been searching all over for a southern cornbread dressing recipe. I'm making this for Thanksgiving this year.

  • mine is similar except instead of chicken we add jimmy dean cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage the sage flavor is good in it.

  • @Godschild459 ohhh I bet that is yummy!!

  • Yummy ! Dressing is my fav side dish for holidays!

  • Just in time for Thanksgiving!! Thanks for posting!

  • lol...I asked my friend if she wanted to make dressing and she asked "are you making a salad?" I then told her that it's like stuffing but it's not stove top. She told me she liked the stove top & I told her that it was b/c she never had dressing before. lol

  • @Raphaelx2ily I've had various stuffings/dressings thru the years but I like mixing up Stove Top cornbread and pork flavored ones.I put mostly OJ with some water for the liquid.I also sautee some onions and celery then I add half cup of pecans. It does taste just as good as the fancier stuffings.THe OJ for the liquid really makes a difference too.

  • I'm glad you uploaded this. I made my 1st pan of dressing last year and it was a disaster. :(

  • It’s nothing like having cornbread dressing and candied yams on the side. Thanks for sharing.

  • @ansbach74 YESSS!!! Can't forget about the candied yams!!!! They pair up so well!!

  • This chile makes me alter my diet every time

  • @BinkyTful LOL a lil slice of this and that won't hurt ya!

  • This recipe is similar to mines..but sometimes I throw in some saltine crackers and hen broth. Great dressing. I'm ready to eat!!

  • @annettemint Sounds good! I hear Ritz crackers taste good in cornbread dressing as well. Never tried it though.

  • I was gonna use Paula Deen's recipe for Cornbread dressing, but I think I'll use this one instead

  • Yep, all the measurements and that good stuff is on my blog! Come on over!! I'll put it in printer format

  • do you give measurements on your blog for how much seasoning to use... i'm always unsure about the amount of poultry seasoning to use???????????
