  • Tyra's hair is exactly like mine :)

  • does the audio get any better? it's so muffled i can barely hear, it's annoying.

  • Not a very pleasant feature about Cambodia but I support people like Somaly Mam

  • Where all this sickness comes from?

Because there are so man involved here, the "traders", the family, the "buyers", those who know and do nothing but turn their back....

What is the problem? Soooo much sickness!

So many problems as this one!

    Why?

  • (all rapers) how can u live with urself by raping a child , if u had a childhood thn y don't u let these kids have one .......... go to hell rapers

  • @gaurikapoor92 Rapist*

  • Do not adopt children from Cambodia UNLESS you are sure that the child is REALLY an orphan and has not been sold like a hamburger to miidlemen who then sell on to un-suspecting foreign adoptive parents. Cambodia is racket central so be careful

  • @MrSuperkrap

I was shishimenz (the one who mentioned adoption above, had to delete my old account).

That is a very good point, that is what Angelina Jolie has went through. Come to find out one of the children she adopted was sold to the Cambodian adoption agency. So she had many legal battles because the mother came forth when she realized her son was adopted by her. So so sad.

  • My aunt is from Cambodia

  • I saw her speak the other day, truly inspirational.

  • Why do men go so wild over raping children? Can any guys out there explain this for me please? What is it about sticking your member into a terrified crying child in pain gets you off? And where do you get the idea that you are entitled to do that?

  • What is up with tyras hair?

  • After reading Somaly Mam's book I actually have hope for the human race now. Can't believe a victim has so much faith in fighting evil. I hope she triumphs!

  • god i have huge need of volunteering now.

  • Why would someone want a 5 year old!? They have issues

  • Somaly is an amazing person! I admire her so much.

Me and my friend and my teacher was at WCP and Somaly was their.

She was so beutiful and nice! We need more people like her <3

  • aww that is my country ...

i didnt know about that .. maybe i stayed in Capital city so i dont know about they other part of it .. i wish i could go to help them :( that is sad

  • Somaly is my role model

  • i really like tyra's big smile .

  • Susan sarandon is a good and very kind women.Seems to really care about people and their battles.

  • Lol, I was looking at the thumbnail of the video and I thought, this Somaly Mam looks just like Susan Surandan, I'm slow.

  • Does anyone else hate tyra in wigs now we have seen her real hair?

  • Somaly is BEAUTIFUL!

Interesting how different cultures have different tastes in looks/skin colour, etc. I have read Somaly's book and she mentioned being considered ugly by Cambodians... but ALSO mentioned how the Western customers always commented on her beauty.

  • Brave Women and Strong to survive such Horrable things as this.

  • wow doesnt trya look gorgeous...?

  • LOL susan sarandon!!!!!!

she is amazing, im a big fan!

she was great in Dead Man Walking.

and i love how she is taking her career 1 step further by helping others.

i love susan! amazing actress and woman and HERO.

    :)

  • I saw a movie on lifetime on sex trafficking when i was 12. (not a good age to get educated about this stuff) let me tell you, i couldn't sleep 4 days! i'm a girl and this scares me. After i watched this i went to europe with my family (ALL GIRLS). so we were going to Vienna, Austria (from Germany).we took a taxi and the guy was arab.he kept on looking at me and my sisters in side mirror and he asked our ages. there is more to the story but anyway, my mom followed her gut. safer to follow gut!

  • what makes the difference that the guy was arab?

  • @nadiabanana531 I'm not trying to be stereotypical, but it makes a difference. It does. I have a few muslim friends, but this guy was definitely sketchy. There is way loads more to the story. Anyways, after the whole ordeal maybe a month after, a ring was discovered in Vienna. So could my gut be right? A great chance that it was. When you travel in Europe (backpacking cheap style) in those areas, With only one mother and other three teenage young girls. It is possible.

  • @adriana308 arab and muslim is different. Most muslims arent arab. Arabs follow many religions. When you say I have a few muslim friends they don't have to be arab. He could have been pakistani or indian which ISN"T ARAB.

  • @nadiabanana531 Yes I know this. But we did discuss a few things in the taxi cab and he said that he was ARABIAN. Don't assume things when you don't know the whole story.

I'm sorry for correlating the two, but I didn't want to be perceived as a racist or such.

  • @nadiabanana531 A great number of Arabs are actually Muslims, while some others are Christians.

And you are correct. Muslim is not a race but a religion. There are black, white, etc. belonging to the Muslim religion.

  • sex trade is the worst crime to me, good thing tyra is adressing this big big issue!

  • i am so glad she did a show on this...its a huge problem

  • The sound on this is facking terrible.

  • Somaly is definately an inspiration. She is strong and she still stood up to save others like her. She deserves all the awards she is given.

  • Wow I admire these women so so much to get out

of such a horrible thing and yet still have a smile

    on their faces!

    these are true heros people

not the celebs on T.V getting drunk

  • Somaly is a true hero, I can't believe they called her ugly, she's pretty damn hott actually!

  • I went to Cambodia and it's the same thing there! It's so terrible!

  • I've been reading Somaly Mam's book "The Road of Lost Innocence." Unbelievable. She is a true hero.

She says in the book that she was ridiculed for being dark-skinned and ugly. Looking at her here, She's BEAUTIFUL!

  • It's true. Chinese colored skin is more prestige than dark color. I'm a dark cambodian, I understand what she means.

  • It's interesting how different cultures value different things. In India, one religion looks down on another. It all seems kind of silly to me. People are people, no matter what their labels, skin color, etc.

  • i love tyras hair like it is at the beginning i want it...

  • Where would one buy such creatures?

    :P

  • I'm glad tyra is bringing this to peoples attention!

  • omg I absolutely admire these 2 women.

  • i am very proud of you, Somaly.

  • this so sad ishallah i will adopt a girl from northern pakistan where stuff like this is taking place and i will be inshallah an advocate against this terrible thing that exists in todays world : (

  • OMG i really want to hug Somaly Mam. I proud of her for helping others. Bless her.

  • This is a very nice video! The's the humanity Some that could reach out and help the sex slavery! Poor those little girl! Yes, please help them. Thank you for posting!

  • OmG i wanna help them! It's so sad and terrible!

  • u people should read the book of somaly's life. u will learn alot of things..and keep your eyes open!

  • this is terrible. what do we do to help these poeple. i never even heard of this. i am so niave.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. My husband and I have been planning on adopting a child from Cambodia for some of these reasons. We must advocate for these people!

  • Oh you guys are adopting? THATS BEAUTIFUL!

  • @shishimenz you posted this amazing comment 2 years ago, meanwhile, did you adopt a child?(:

  • @shishimenz Somaly is so amazing. I interviewed her last year for the newspaper I worked for. Can't believe how she survived all this and still is so strong - such a role model.

  • @shishimenz that's amazing! I hope to do so when I'm older from Brazil..

  • this crime is sereasly dangerous bad stupid and u cant do that to peaople
