This is true prayer to the gods that women can use.

I'm not knocking Christianity at it's core, but it seems to me that the way the elites of the religion pushed aside the old ways was reckless, insidious and wrong.

@WatchRyder oh yes they did exactly that. tried to get rid of the Goddess completely but realised they couldn't lure anyone to the religion unless they offered a Goddess and so appointed Mary xxxx

@WatchRyder I would knock Christianity, & hard. Judeo-Christian stuff stripped women of the independence, sexual autonomy, and position of GREAT respect we had known for thousands of years before Indo-European invaders that worshipped a male god came on the scene & fucked it all up with their very patriarchal theology. Some fabulous books you might enjoy on that are The Dark Side of Christian History by Hellen Ellerbe, and When God Was a Woman, by Merlin Stone, which is beyond eye-opening.

@WatchRyder that would be nice wouldn't it?...at the rate we're going it seems like we're moving in reverse these days, in terms of women's rights (the 60s & 70s seem, to me as a younger woman, like they were more hopeful times...) But just being able to educate oneself about women's history & pre-patriarchal traditions is a form of rebellion in some ways, I'd like to think. It makes me sad how few women today know about this stuff.
