This is exactly what mine did, starting up cold after it has been sitting over night it makes this noise until it's fully warmed up and gets worse when it's nearing it's next oil change. What it is is the timing chain tensioner seal and could also need the tensioner spring replaced as it looses it springyness over time. Over night the seal leaks oil back into the sump and when you start it again it has to build pressure again which makes the rattle noise
It's the alternator (serpentine) belt tensioner/bearing. When mine went like that I thought it was the chain, Got one off a wrecked A33 (same engine) for €25 and took around an hour to change it by myself.
