  • video in reverse:

where the hell is that pizza joint's number!? fuck this, *BANG* *BANG* BANG*BANG*BANG*

  • LOL!

  • had fmj and stopping power enabled.

  • water soak that telephone book and it'll act like ballistic gel in terms of opening cavities. Try it some time :)

  • why are there bullet holes in my fine print?

  • WAS THAT A AIRSOFT GUN ?! WOW !!! :DDD would really suprise if it was.

  • @tero477 You clearly have an understanding, however basic it may be, of the English language, proven by the fact that you left a comment in the first place. How is it then, that you find yourself unable to look at the boldfaced, black title of the video that is approximately three inches up from the center of the video? In said title, it is clearly notated that the weapon in use in this moving picture is a Glock chambered for a forty caliber round.

Moral of the story: use your eyes.

    Love, me

  • WHAT DID THAT PHONE BOOK EVER DO TO YOU!!!

  • thats gonna be the first handgun i buy when i turn 21

  • you should try this some hornaday xtp hollow points

  • c====8

  • Boooo!!!!

  • yet quite effective at preventing getting shanked in prison.

  • Now we all know in the movies when the guy is about to get shot and he grabs a phone book and it sayes is life is bullshit

  • is that airsoft?, i'm confused

  • @Patrekur112 nope, real man, if it was airsoft there would be clacking of the blowback

  • @Patrekur112 LOLOL, "is that airsoft?". it went clean thru the phone book. even some pistol rounds can't do that. actually if you put about 2 phonebooks there, even a .45 would not go thru.

  • @Patrekur112

how could that be airsoft? how could you possibly be confused?

  • @Patrekur112 wow?rly airsoft....im the one whos confuse

  • impressive! the glock .40 is apparently powerful enough to pierce paper! next time the burglar comes in wearing phonebook armor I'll know what weapon to use :D

  • phone book wins!

  • next time before you shoot, soak the phonebooks for a day or so in water !! ive heard that this is "somewhat" close to ballistics gel !!

  • @xaviercourtney explain yourself or don't post shit like that.

  • @xaviercourtney

I take it you're a labeling intolerant fuck, because you're a labeling intolerant fuck!

  • @shoutenry intolerant? Who isn't intolerant of Americans??? Why dont you go start a war or something, wait your already in 2 wars. "America....fuck yeah!!!"

  • @xaviercourtney Seriously, calling names doesn't help you. So WHAT? America's in two wars, one that's left the country with a higher GDP than its EVER had and another that's in progress. You say Americans are intolerant? Australia STILL doesn't find BLACKFACE to be a CRIME, your government recently apologized for RIPPING ABORIGINAL CHILDREN FROM THEIR HOMES and putting them in ORPHANAGES. Just because everyone bashes on America doesn't make them right, or more importantly, any better.

  • @shoutenry Hahaha, a higher GDP than ever wonder why? Oh maybe because you control all Iraqi oil. I have indigenous heritage so dont try and lecture me about the how fucked the Australian Governement has treated Aboriginal people, because i know very well what they did, and to a certain extent, what they are still doing. Dont forget America dragged the world into a recession. Friends of mine lost jobs because of a few dickheads in America who were greedy fk's!!!

  • @xaviercourtney ummm controlling Iraqi oil...(we don't control it) is bad for whom? the Iraqis? Don't even make me start...

America brought the world OUT of the depression and gave veritable trillions of modern day dollars for the rebuilding and enhancement of dozens of nations. Generalizing that a few American assholes represent the whole country is childish and stupid, make a better argument. America is not tolerant enough, but that doesn't mean anywhere else is any better on the grand scale.

  • @shoutenry

Hell yeah my man!! I agree 100%. We DONT control the Iraq oil!!

  • @xaviercourtney fosters australian for queers

  • @pjicleanair420 Lol.

  • @ccr61788 y were u shooting when u are drunk lol

  • what happens if you want to order a pizza now??

  • How do you cock a glock? I've only ever handled a 357 S&W and the trigger is super heavy unless you cock it what are glock triggers like compared to the S&W?

  • You "cock" it via actuating the slide, like most semiautomatics.

  • Most semi autos have a hammer to cock, I'm not talking about load a bullet into the chamber.

  • When the slide cycles, it half cocks an internal striker. Pulling the trigger finishes cocking the striker and then releases the striker. The trigger definitely feels different than a double action revolver. As you pull, you feel very light resistance. Then you feel the 5 lb pull in the specs. Both stages have a considerable amount of travel.

  • thanks for the reply, next time I have a chance I'll check on out first hand cheers!

  • Coachramsies....when you cycle the slide on an autoloading pistol it both chambers a round, and "cock's" the hammer at the same time. When you cock a Glock, it's the same action, except there is no hammer.

  • made holes, but very little energy transfer. thats why .45 is king. doesn't matter how much power the bullet has, it matters how much power the bullet transfers to the target.

  • Classic debate. 'course you'll also get proponents of the "wound damage" school that talk about how big a hole it is...

  • if a round passes through then there is a certaina mount of energy wasted, by having a smaller megaplat, .40 insted of .45 initially then you compromise surface area as well as .40 having more energy in standard loading. in the end the wider the bullet the more ideal, hence the use of hollow points. the .45 just is wider and heavier, both of which are prefered. i am not saying the .40 wont do its job, but the .45 is much more forgiving and effective in all loadings.

  • For energy, you can find 40SW cartridges that compete with 45 ACP, especially if the 45 isn't +P. For momentum, 45 is king and even beats out 10mm and 357. Which is most important for stopping power is still hotly debated.

  • 10mm in its full loading has greater momentum than .45. and for your general referance the .40 has more energy in standard pressure than the .45. it also transfers less energy to its target because while they both fully penitrate (hardball ammo) the .45 transfers more of its momentum into the human target. also bigger holes bleed more and that is the leading cause of gunshot death, blood loss; because after all, most shots are not heart/brain/cns

  • I haven't done an exhaustive search, but .45 ACP is on par with 10mm for momentum and excedes 10mm with in +P loads. This is based on looking at CORBON, Remington, Federal and Speer. Most modern handguns will handle 45 ACP +P (Be sure to check your manuals).

  • the manuals you looked at are from test barrels. and the ballistics for those loads are not full potentials of the calibers. check out some buffalo bore 10mm, that is more like the potential of that caliber.

  • I looked at the ballistics posted online by those manufacturers, not reloading manuals. Barrels were 5" for the .45 and from 4" - 5" for 10mm. As for Buffalo Bore, yes, it is definitely a much bigger difference. It bothers me, though, that those loads are so much hotter than what the big name manufacturers seem to load. I'd be curious to see what chamber pressures they are measuring with those loads.

  • phone book won

  • anybody see my phone book?

  • lmao

  • ohhhh god

  • I made the same mistake diassembling my 20 gauge shot gun when I 18. I put a huge hold threw my bed. You can never be to safe

  • It happens, we get into patterns and when we deviate from our norm whether by accident or distraction an accident can occur. My friend and I were discussing our guns when I fired mine, we were swapping it back and forth discussing its features and I went to put it away and reinserted the loaded magazine... It didn't get put away, we talked some more and when I tried something he said to do with the decocker I forgot to check for clear and fired the gun.

  • Comment removed

  • You disassemble your guns while they're loaded? How hard is it to remove the magazine and clear the chamber first...

  • @HooDudeTwo again with that misnomer that someone killed themselves while cleaning a gun.

  • id like to see what hollow points do to that.

  • Wow!! that's power!! the amount of pages in that, whats the range/velocity?

  • I love the .40 round

  • Comment removed

  • no....if you listen they said 9mm....i do believe those were 40 cal bullets...-___-...9mm bullets are known to be weak as hell

  • BURN NOTICE LIED TO ME!

  • Actually, in Burn Notice, he said,

"Most non-armor-piercing bullets will only penetrate a phone book to a depth of an inch or two. Behind a layer of steel, it's more like a 1/4 of an inch."

I don't think that is true seeing as a 22 pellet rifle (800ft/s one) will go right a phone book. Don't depend on one to stop a bullet is my advice. Burn Notice, btw, is my favorite tv show, even though I think they got that one wrong.

  • I had an accidental discharge from my Taurus PT92 in my kitchen while loaded with standard Walmart 115 Gr. 9mm Winchester hollow points... The bullet traveled through a piece of furniture, passed completely through 2 full size phone books then penetrated the drywall and concrete cinder block exterior wall ending up buried to deep to find in the ground outside my house... Unless your behind ballistic Kevlar, steel, reinforced concrete or 3 inches of aluminum your probably not safe...

  • Comment removed

  • No way. Also, there's no such thing as an ACCIDENTAL discharge.....only NEGLIGENT discharges.

  • Call it what you will... I made a mistake which was completely my fault. It happens to everyone eventually and if you deal with guns enough you will probably mess up too. If you follow the rules and keep it pointed somewhere safe at all times nothing will be hurt but your ears and your confidence...

  • so true

  • shot at .25 auto at a phonebook only went about1/4 inch through

  • is that true dude?? The 25 only went 1/4" thru?? doesnt seem right...

  • What model was that 22, 23, or 27?

  • Glock 23

  • Yeah I saw the other vid. Worth every penny.

  • Comment removed

  • oh no! Turns out phone book armor isnt bullet proof after all..

  • lmfao i was saying that to myself

  • Yeah, Get Some! I FRICKIN hate phone books and car doors and cantaloupes... Frying pans are ok ... I guess.

  • cool...........................

  • I just bought my first firearm last month. A glock 23 .40 for $499. I totally love it! The only thing is that the .40 ammo is a little expensive, but I already ordered a 22 conversion kit and a 9mm conversion barrel.

  • You could do that with the job listing in the news paper:)

  • man u sure showed the yellow pages whos tha boss...

  • Agree with everything except "priced low".

    Glocks are pretty pricey.

  • so do you

  • so we learned that telephone books aren't kevlar vests ;)

  • Sure ;-) We also see how the different rounds pass through the same material with these "tests".

  • it's just pretty cool

i've done similar experiments with an air gun but that wasn'T as funny as this is ;)

  • @bommel88 Which is too bad, because you really look bad-ass wearing a telephone book. LOL!

  • looks like fun!

  • pd575 you pee pee head, i was just stating the facts and if you think between being the law enforcements first choice and gangs of cali making them full auto is the reason they are a number 1 selling gun your the imbecile. so sorry to play the devils advocate!

  • Close, but not quite. An Uzi is a type of submachinegun, a Mac-10 is another (but different) type.

  • 1911 .45acp are the best pistols ever made, especially by Springfield, colt, and kimber, but hk is also good with thier five seven too expensive though. my dad has a kimber 1911, glock 21 and he just bought a mac-10 .45

  • I can appreciate that, but I still think best is more a matter of what works good for you.

  • just for the record: the Five-seveN is made by FN in Belgium, not H&K :)

  • my bad

    he has an FN-FAL

  • glocks are number one because w/a trip to the hardware store and some handy work on the rear slide plate they are easily made fully automatic, shoot lighting fast and you can still stick it down your pants.

  • holy fone book

  • If this was a old Batman episode, I think it'd be more like *POW*

  • hk makes good guns but their overpriced and the customer service SUCKS, the only argument people have against glock is "i dont like the grip or trigger" almost never a functional thing, i'll take a Sig over either

  • no one cares what you think, get a life.

  • hk's are ugly anyway dude nasty looken pistol

  • fuck hk fuck beretta

  • Glock does suck.H&K is good,BUT! over priced. Colt all the way I am a 1911 fanboy

  • Also, Twice the Cost. H&K has more defects too.

  • such....weak ass looking bullets O_o

the beretta is better honestly -_-

  • I'm not sure how the "look" of the bullets has much to do with the firearm in question. Beretta offers most of their semiautomatic pistols in .40 S&W as well.

  • beretta? Glock is better made, more reliable and stronger gun. Weak bullets? Would you like to get hit with those? Im assumin rather than STRONG bullets?

  • i agree man. some of these people on here... lol.. ill tell ya

  • if you tape the book shut it'll stop bullets a little better. its hard to compare if all rounds fly straight thru.

  • That's a good point; we'll give that a try the next time we get new phonebooks. On the other hand, not all the rounds made it through if you look at the web site (.22).

  • what did you expect was going to happen?

    it's a goddamn phone book

  • The trick isn't in seeing what any individual round (.40, .45 ACP, etc) does to a phonebook -- it's in seeing how they're different, and how the effects are different. Check the web site for the other videos.

  • so yeah, phonebooks make bad body armors

  • can you test the beretta tomcat in the same way?

  • Sure, if we had one ;-) Do you?

  • UMMMM YEAH!
