  • @patokaman Hi patokaman!! I remember being really sick with the measles...both my little brother and I!! We shared a bedroom..each had a twin bed. Mom pulled the shades down and closed the curtains. We had an old tv in our bedroom. There we were propped up in our beds, Saturday morning, in the dark, wearing sunglasses (they thought back then that the measles meant you had to be in the dark I guess) watching all the great westerns, Cisco, Gene Autrey, Roy and Dale Rogers, Hop Along! I'm 62 now!!

  • @quilope and ranger1962411

the pic at 3.43 is a early version of the Cisco Kid starring Duncan Renaldo...I would say this pic was done in the late 40s, early 50s...I don't think Fran Dresher was even born then.....she to young....sorry

  • This song is deep, deep funk. No one born outside the ghetto could have created this masterpiece.

  • Yo cisco. Love the ending on this one. Shall we do it again one more time as I'm told there's perfection in practice and repetition or wrote.

  • @vickyvalehere, this song is based on a popular T.V. show in the 50's called The Cisco Kid (video up above). Howard Scott , a founder of WAR, wanted to represent that there are different kinds of heroes other than the ones that were always being portrayed at that time. As for the exact meaning of the song, we all interpret songs the way we want to. To me it's just a fun, cool song. Peace.

  • @lowriderbandfan Very well said..Thank you..I couldn't have done better

  • @lowriderbandfan DITTO !

  • @lowriderbandfan , Maybe they just wanted to make a song about "THEIR" heroes? Maybe he grew up watching the cisco kid or something I dunno

  • @lowriderbandfan , Maybe they just wanted to make a song about "THEIR" heroes? Maybe he grew up watching the cisco kid or something I dunno

  • @lowriderbandfan and peace to you, great info, thanks!!!

  • hahaha, boi, this is taking me back...I needed a little happy in my day...thanks youtube ^_^ Yehhaw!

  • The song entertains. I don't like "A Tisket, A Tsket", except as a nursery rhyme, but this oldster gives Ella Fitzgerald her props, because she nailed it. The same goes for "War"/ I like music with good lyrics and melody.

  • how this shallow, repetitive song became a #2 hit is beyond me.

  • @baddmanaz

You mean as opposed to most #2 hit songs which offer intellectually complex lyrics and don't have a chorus that is repeated several times?

  • This was my theme song in High School.....my last name is SISCO.

  • That was when times were good. The music today is queer. They all copy old music anyway. The music back then lives on. The music today will blow away with the wind.

  • yeah like pieces of dust!!

  • Oh, Pancho! Oh, Cisco! Hit #2 in Billboard, God bless!

  • EAST LOS IN DA HOUSE!!!

  • this is the kind of music ..i want to write

  • my dad made me look this up for him..... he is completely bad with technology....

  • he may be bad with technology, but a kick ass song!

  • meh, he is old and likes old music... i love old music but i didnt grow up in the seventies and dont plan on it musically

  • My Aunt Gloria's house in Long beach Ca,

Fallorina, Love You circa 1970's,good times!

  • lol he DOES look like Ricky Ricardo!

  • YYYYHHHAAAAAAAA....

  • slick move by the kid when he throws the guy behind him his gun.

  • Eat the salted peanuts out the can!

  • I know that Cisco's horse was named Diablo, but did Pancho's horse have a name?

  • Pancho's horse was called....Loco

  • In the 1990 film Wild at Heart, Sailor references the Cisco Kid and Pancho when he imparts advice to his young son, "If ever somethin' don't feel right to you, remember what Pancho to The Cisco Kid 'Let's went, before we are dancing at the end of a rope, without music.'"

  • Good observation, vichy766. I missed that entirely and am both a Lynch & Cisco Kid/Pancho fan. Thanks!
