AbduCola's "low ground cannon" isn't as insane as it first sounds. A forge + high cannon + low cannon is feasible in terms of building time, but being able to stand up to the lings while starting the low cannon still isn't.

you cant leave your base. spines are blocking you in, and you will be harassed so bad that you probably cant get a robots up for the prism. your low ground cannon tactic will be ineffective mainly because any probe going down will die from the spines, and any cannon that tries to go up will be hit by lings and queens.

@soulfrost3 ok first of all, to not scout a proxy hatch in your own natural takes unbelievable incompetency which i cant understand so hes already bad. second, destiny had vision wiht overlord which is why his ramp was screwed, if he built cannons AT his ramp he could deny units moving up and kill or push back overlords wiht sentry/stalker. its very possible to hold off. as for the counter im just saying that destiny did nothing to prepare so 1 or 2 voids could have been gg

@Changdesu MULEs cause terrans to outmine their bases faster, which in turn forces them to expand sooner, which weakens them because their armies are extremely slow. Also, the 100 minerals spent on the hellion won't come back.

Terran can build bunker 4 scv repair and bam unstoppable early defense. Helions use flamethrower how does that not use gas? And only 400 mineral? any good terran can kill atleast enough workers to pay for 400 minerals... and if they counter it ill just trap them in with helions and if they chase helions ill move in with my army.

@ankstroms It is possible. When I was in high level bronze when I faced a Platinum myself. I won but I think I was lucky. He was doing a ling/bling all in and I survived it with mineral line spines and later roaches.

I thought of going mutas, but when he scouted the spire I cancelled it and switched to nydus. Plenty of air defense, but not enough ground defense to deal with a worm spitting out 15 roaches into his main. :)

I have been to semis and finals in several open tournaments around the internet. I used to play random before going zerg and toss is easily my second strongest race. Trust me 4 gate and blink are the only viable strategies in pvp not based on luck. For a while people were trying that three stalker rush thing that "countered" 4 gate. However it started autolosing to anyone who expod into 6 gate push.

@Rillymonray Meh the game is actually a hell of a lot more fun in the lower leagues. Once you have everything figured out you pretty much use the same 4-5 strategies over and over.

I'm good at rts' but get bored of them because they don't have the consistent testing of your mastery like counter strike or something. If I had any advice for anyone get good mechanics, but stay platinum or lower so you can do wonky builds like ghost rushing and make it work just because your opponents are bad.
