if you like sam hain, you'll like sam hain from the 80's real ghostbusters series. in the episodes "when halloween was forever" & the two part episode "halloween". he had an action figure for the series. as well as two new action figures for the retro-action release. and is in the comics too. the writer & director of trick r treat. probably saw this growing up as they would have been that age & into that sort of thing. this is likely their inspiration for their version of the character.

Some people didn't like the movie and feel the need to knock anything related to it. I personally feel the movie was ok but could have been better. That pumpkin in awesome though. Congrats to the maker for having a sweet jack-o-lantern.

@Sierradragon I know the director he went to a few film schools, what his envision was. He intended for 3-4 stories like creep show which was produced back in the 80s. It took them so long to put the movie together do to budget and also the actors had many other jobs. I love the film and I learned a lot from the director when he visited my school.

that sounds awesome, hopefully he will have better luck with his next film. I know that, while Trick r Treat wasn't my favorite film, it was a lot better then most modern crap so if he gets things working right for him, the second one will be worth seeing for sure.
