haha awsome :P i went to my cousins wedding in gimli and he took his firebird(modified heavily) out and fucking kicked ass!!! i think it was in june??? yea i'm pretty shure it was like the 27th or 28th we where out there. awesome race track hotter than hell that day though

You said it. It's cool how this is almost public knowledge now that Discovery added the Gimli Glider to their "Mayday" series.

I can't remember how long this runway used to be though. Do you know?

Well, the 1/4 mile dragstrip is 1320 feet long. Was this runway a 3000 foot runway? I would think maybe longer if that 767 Landed on it without reverse thrust.

well that 767 landed on its head causing friction and the captain used brakes to slow it down no speed brakes no flaps no reverse thrust and then he stop and the end crashing into the guardrail that was the thing it helped him slow down
