Leon Warnies: name that I heard very often in my family.. inventor of the "organ-books" with the punched holes. Makes you think about Braille for blnd people.. hey he also didn't have clear sight... coincidence? (or did my grandma Suzan Warnies tell me wrong)
Not quite right, Mr Gavioli in Paris invented the organ books concept, but Leon Warnies was important in bringing the book organ to Amsterdam and he had many organs which were rented out to the organ men.
Leon Warnies was blinded by lighting in a storm on board a steamer ship from Peru on his back to Holland with his family. My grandmother was also Susanne Warnies from 83 Pretorius Straat in Amsterdam. Are they the same, "Cousin" ?

Leuk, dit lied had ik nog nooit op een orgel gehoord. Het is toch "Lemon Tree" van Fool's Garden?
