  • Groovy and under complete control. Excellent...

  • maaaan, it'd be kinda nice to dance with this music :)

  • Top banana. Id love to have a couple of ecstasy and hang about with you.

  • That was siiick

  • what kind of jew harp is that?

  • I used jew's harp from H-mon tribe in Vietnam at first. And, I used murjunga from Nepal from 4'30''. And, from 5'30'', I used rococo made by Zoltan szilagyi in Hungary.

  • Is strumming really fast or is he using his mouth to make the fast beat? I've tried with my jaw harp and I can't go that fast.

  • Watch 3'43''. I use thumb to strum Jew's harp from H-mon tribe. I can play it faster than this video.

  • is he strumming (i dont know the correct word for a jaw harp) it like a guitar? it looks like he is.

  • It's like a lamellophone / aerophone hybrid. The mouth cavity is used as an acoustic chamber and the sound is modulated with the lips, tongue and throat.

  • You pluck it with the finger, some you pull with a string - it's all about getting that tongue to vibrate. The lamellophone's tongue is also the aerophone's reed.

  • hmmm very intersting. i got a jaw harp yesterday. it's very fun :D

  • Cool, is it the sort which you clamp in the teeth or rest against the lips? I've got a Morchang, a handfull of Kubings, and a few other types like Kouxiang.

  • lol wikipedia

  • Hey guyz,if yo wanna see REALLY hardcore jew´s harp videos, than tipe in: Zoltan Szilagyi into the searcher.U gonna get suprised.

    Yes,this guy is cool,but Szilágyi kick´s ass.

  • Sorry,i wanted to say Aron szilagyi. But Zoltan is good as well,i think.

  • he's Aron's father.

  • they are ambidextrous. you just flip it over and there its left handed

  • live acid goa

  • juste... perfect *o*

  • world Best!!!!

  • pure sweetness!

  • harika...

  • For centuries it's been called a "jew's" harp. Now it's known as a "jaw" harp? Is this because it's more politically correct? That would be my guess. Someone let me know for sure please.

  • Well maybe the "jaw" thing actually makes sense, while Jews have no connection to it?

  • I think that is true, but they say that there are various name for it: juice harp (saliva produced by playing), jue-trompe (french for Toy Trumpet) or just jaw harp. The instrument came from the eurasian steppe lands (Where the Turks lived) so that explains Jew Harp.

  • tHANK YOU...SOME GOOD INFO THERE!

  • I believe he is actually using a Dan Moi, which is a traditional Vietnamese kind of Jew Harp. It is attached to a lovely cylindrical case hanging on his chest. I think the Dan Moi is capable of producing more sound variety than a western Jew Harp.

  • @AntnyMichlHallnOats It was originally named Jaw Harp but got the nickname Jew's Harp.

  • @VonTavast You know, you should really keep quiet if you do NOT know what you are talking about.

It is ORIGINALLY known as a Jews Harp. And it has NOTHING to do with Jewish people of religion. It is the "Old English" word for "Jaw". You are on the internet. Try checking for FACTS first before you put "your foot in your mouth"!!!!!

  • @SaintHarp1 When did I ever say it had anything to do with Jewish people you racist? And no you're wrong. Btw you are aware of that you double posted right?

  • hands down one of the coolest jews harp videos on Youtube!

  • best

  • insane, it sounds like goa trance :D

  • That guy is f---ing awesome! His rhythms rival even the best rave music I've heard yet. Where can I get an album?

  • Jaw harp rave music. Now i've seen everything.

  • Supreme jaw harp master! I kowtow to thee!! 10 times!!!!!!!!!!

  • Waw, the best Jaw harp player I've seen !

  • totally amazing!!!

i bought a jew harp without knowing what it was and how was it played

is he beatboxing along the perfomance too???

    5 stars!

  • Ah, as the video progresses, it appears to be a dan moi.

  • Hi phrakti

I dont know much about jaw harp, so lets wait for overtone to answer you, but you can go to his profile and ask him about... his profile is overtone7 and he is a very nice and talented person!

  • Yes,it is the Nchan(Dan moi).

I play some kind of Jew's harp. Dan moi is for makeing good groove.

    Do you play Tabla?

  • Ah, I thought that was what you were playing. Yes, I am learning tabla currently. I purchased a dan moi after watching your videos. Thank you for inspiring me to get one because I love playing it!

  • What "flavour" of jaw harp is it (i.e. dan moi, maultrommel, etc.)? Excellent video!

  • I would love to do something like he's doing. Do you know what kind of equipment he uses?

  • I just use microphone and(roland micro cube) amp and minidisc for the beat.

  • Wow, amazing!

Never heard 'bout jew's harp before!

    Made me a little curious.

Wish I could see his "show" live ^^
