This is a complicated tale. Papaji believed in Eli, but he did NOT believe in Gangaji, and he told her that. She even admits it. Yet she went out into the world anyway as a spritual teacher. This I think was a huge mistake. She should have recognized her limitations but her ego wouldn't let her. So now we have one true teacher and one false teacher sitting side-by-side at Satsang. I've given up on them. Eli should have recognized that truth comes before love or lust, but he didn't. Too bad.
