  • OH YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS!!! ABSOLUTELY !!!

    Powerfully wonderful !!

  • Are people gettin this stuff yet? This music is my mantra

  • Goes to the depth of the Soul and thence to the core of creation itself. God graciously BLESS you Brian Wilson!!! God most certainly Blessed the rest of us with y

    ou.

  • The only thing bad about this song is that it's too short.

  • Such a great song!

  • one of my favourites - all these song elements in less than two minutes. Sunflower is a great album!

  • Brian Wilson is God. Well I think he must be to write such heavenly music. Yeah, he's God alright and his brothers are Angels and I am an Apostle :)

  • This is, in my opinion, a great, great lost classic. It comes from "Sunflower" the Beach Boys best LP, which was released in 1970, when they were considered "unhip". What a waste. And what so many Beach Boys fans have missed from this period. I thank Barry Friedman of Birdland records to introducing me to the Beach boys "lost" period FIVE years after the fact.

    THE BEST STUFF!

    Joe

  • I just had to give this another listen. Guess it's one of the prettiest songs in this whole world.

  • @pmoyer50 this is actually 2 songs combined when girls 00:32 is the secound [they have a lot of songs with girls in the title ]

  • This guy is my life

  • This is one great song. Brian was always the master of chord changes and modulation. He's in a league all his own.

  • Brian's rendition of 'This Whole World' is cracking.

  • Extraordinary track. Wonderful harmonies, arrangements and melody. Brian Wilson is the best musician on the planet.

  • masterpiece!

  • Nice! Thx for sharing. Love the BB!

  • Sunflower album second only to Pet Sounds. This is one of my favorites. I never met Brian, but I met Al jardine on several occasions. Al is really a down to earth guy.

  • thanks for the upload!

  • Wow, he sounds great here

  • Go see Brian...he & his band members are very approachable

  • Anyone know when this track was recorded ? I met Brian a while back. Doing well.

  • what??!!!! where did you meet him?? this track, btw, sounds like brian's late 70's early 80's voice. i could be wrong

  • This was recorded in 1995 for the I Just Wasn't Made For These Times documentary. And you're so lucky! how'd you meet him?!! Isn't he like impossible to meet? I'm seeing him twice this fall, so hopefully I'd get to meet him at least one of those days.

  • @spaceace2jendell I met him in Glasgow, couldn't have been easier haha. I seen him come out of a fire exit and head towards his bus with his PA or whatever. I just went up and asked if I could have a photo! The PA guy was like "no come on this is ridiculous" and whatnot but Brian chipped in and said "nah it's cool come on let's take some photos! He was really nervous but smiling :)

  • Yes, I do. BTW... BB Trivia:

In what key was this song written?

    None! Amazing composition.

  • it was originaly 2 songs combined this whole world and when girls.

  • Hey, gbj11 - "This Whole World" .. the last work of musical genius Brian ever did !! ?? Come On !! Man, you just gotta be jokin', right ! Where have you been these last 10 Years ?? BW hasn't stopped producing sensational masterpieces at all. He's just simply been evolving .. on & on .. as all musical geniuses do ! "That Lucky Old Sun" has just got to be his happiest-sounding, best all-round production & album-work for many years. Or do you think that stinks ?

  • Carl sang this song with the Beach Boys on Sunflower. IMO, Carl was the best pure singer in the group, although Brian's falsetto is/was legendary. Favorite all time group..those old concerts were the best.

  • the beach boys might be considered america's 60's band but most of there best stuff came out in the 70's it was panned back then but it has gotten popular now, i mean come on sunflower, surfs up, carl and the passions, holland all of them are awesome

  • the beach boys LOVE YOU is my fave album by anyone from the 70's. john

  • Pet Sounds.. Beach Boys Today.... both from the 60s

  • my all time favorite album is bb Today, followed by pet sounds and friends... but of the decade of the 70's love you is my favorite.

  • Undoubtedly one of the very best of Brian's compositions.

  • This is a brilliant song, even though it's very short... maybe the last work of musical genius Brian Wilson ever did.

  • "Til I Die"?

    releasing the SMiLE album?

  • Till I Die's a very cool song, but I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece like Good Vibrations or This Whole World. And I'm glad he finally got around to finishing Smile. It has its moments here and there. I think Brian's initial assessment of it was pretty accurate though.

  • Anything Brian does is fantastic.
