@skitfel you're right, the only thing that makes them taller, is the spires, but the antennas of the Sears (Willis) Tower is way taller than the Petronas

I am glad some one included the New York City services building in this montage! 3:00 to 3:04! It is a classic deco sky scrapper, it looks like it could pierce the sky. It was built around the same time as the Chrysler building and it dominated the Lower Manhattan sky line for years till the WTC was built.

Who are you kidding? Chicago only has 2 of the world's tallest buildings! Most of the world's tallest buildings are in Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi and Shenzen.

To "101andrewj", Supposedly the reason that it's taking so very long for the Freedom Tower to be built is because of all the real estate politics in Manhattan, NIMBY's in Lower Manhattan and the friends & relatives of those that had died in the World Tade Center devastation were/are demanding that the entire site become a huge memorial. Yeah, I'm afraid that the U.S. will never be more powerful than China. Financially speaking and with the construction of new mega-high rise buildings.

According to my source, South tower ties with IFC 2 (spire inclusive), but North tower is taller than IFC 2 by 2 m.

So the twins should be before IFC 2, unless they split the north and south tower were splited up.

Spires and antennas don't count because they aren't walkable space, so Shanghai World Finance Center takes place to world's tallest completed building in the World.
