Well actually.. I think that there were two layers of plastic around GLaDOS's head much like the cores have a layer system in their heads. So when GLaDOS broke that first layer came off... as for going outside and inside I think there were automated bot like the party escort to send in daubery and stuff back inside the facility.

I've found that when you're going after the blue orb, you can put the orange portal on a wall at ground level and just jump through that, and you'll just make the edge of that high platform.

@Whtvar A friend of mine, MegaGWolf, warned me not to play as Orianna because she was too out of the norm for most champions, and I was too noob. Well, I'm still too noob at the game, but since Orianna is free-to-play this week, and after I read your comment I decided to play as her anyway. Hoh-lee-shit. She is fucking awesome. I wouldn't doubt for a second that Riot made the reference on purpose.

I love the way that both GLaDOS and Wheatley become more and more insane as the fight progresses. Wheatley becomes full-on paranoid, I can remember him accusing me of working with GLaDOS even when I was in a coma and that the explosion of the Enrichment Centre was just special effects to trick him. His proof: I didn't catch him when he fell off his rail. Genius.

I'm pretty sure it was never supposed to look like she died. The original ending was she escaped, she couldn't die from that fall because of her braces. Valve released a second ending, however, that suggests that she was dragged back into the enrichment centre by some robot.
