  • Very nice song! I hear some echoes of 'Oooh Baby Baby' in this song, which was also interpreted by several artists (incl Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, and Linda Rondstadt).

  • Yes. Brenda & the Tabulations did do a cover. This is the original and still the best!

  • A group called Honey and the Bees did a cover as well.

  • nothing like these oldies. Fantastic, and I am grateful to have been young during these magical musical years. Thanks for posting.

  • 15,000th view from me.

  • Fabulous!!!

  • Nothing better than listening original songs with the original artists!

  • unforgettable!

  • I could so hear Patti Labelle singing this song :)

  • Never heard of this group. Their publicity team must have been retarded. I like Deniece William's version better. Sheila's voice is too harsh for this song, similar to Martha Reeve's

  • Wow did'nt brenda and the tabulations do this as well. Could swear they did?

  • @nublackmusic I believe so...

  • @nublackmusic Hmm, maybe not lol but it was covered a bit.

  • @nublackmusic This song was also performed by Laura Nyro and Deniece Williams, but I think no one sang it better then this woman...Sheila Ross Anthony.

  • right.. all versions are really great..

  • LOVE THE SONG, LOVE THE LADIES! BEAUTIES!

  • I did not know Niecy's version was a cover.

  • @jrcarter9175 ME EITHER

  • The bestest.

    Phil

  • beautiful song!

  • i LOVE THE ORIGIANL VERSION, IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR YEARS!!!!

  • Four gorgeous babes!!!

  • So good to hear the original song.

  • GREAT!

  • I suppose Denieces version was more popular but the original is the best.

  • @MIKECNW NO Not really... you have to realize that the Royalettes recorded the original version in 1965, 18 years before Deneice Williams and they were all over the place and were quite a popular group in their heyday

  • @mystkpizza Exactly they were popular for their time until the time of their break-up. Niecy just brought it back up to speed. :)

  • @MIKECNW I agree !! The ROYALETTES original is FAR better. The layered vocal harmonies, The Late Teddy Randazzo's rich orchestral production...PURE CLASS !! and FAR BETTER than ANY cover version I've heard . Sheila, Veronica, Terry and Anita have got Niecy BEAT on THIS one !!

  • these women are drop dead gorgeose!

  • show amo demais ....

  • i have the 45 of the Shirelles doing this song. I think it was the b side

  • I always thought that was a beautiful album cover. What happened to them? I believe the Shirrells covered this also.. So did Laura Nyro/labelle.

  • Wow, I didn't know that they were the original singers. I always thought it was Deniece Williams.
