  • thank you very much! i never seen it done before...

  • Great video.... how soon should you 'paunch' a rabbit? some say immediately in the field, then skin etc back at home - or can you wait until you get home and do the lot then? (you get to save the liver and kidneys then) - if you can wait, how long can the rabbit stay 'intact' safely?

  • Great video, very nice clean job

  • mmm fried rabbit, delicious

  • This makes me want to eat rabbit. But do the whole killing and dressing thing too.

  • omg so gross when he rips off the fur

  • I hate jews

  • I have never seen it done so easy thank you....

  • Best video on field dreesing a rabbit I've seen so far. Quick and clean. Exactly the info i needed.

  • Great video, greatly appreciated. Any other small game field dressing?

  • Excellent presentation, clean, precise, and useful.

    thanks

  • great video, helped me alot

  • dumb question perhaps... does it smell when gutting a rabbit?

  • @cianw10

No such thing as a dumb question..

Yes it smells, they smell unpleasent before you open them and then that smell gets worse as you cut them open...its not the worst smell, but at 1st it can be off putting

After 2r3 times you'l get fairly used to it OR NOT hahaha

  • is that an opinel knife i spot? im getting my first one soon i cant wait they look a really good knife and ive heard great reviews about them.

  • The back leg thing looks more wasteful than it really is. Much like breasting a dove. There isn't much meat AT ALL on those parts, its mostly bone.

  • Great tutorial, gonna try it your way this weekend. one of the easiest ways iv seen on youtube fair play.

  • All jokes aside you are very good though and have obviously done this a few times before. Nice clean job and a well shot video.

  • Sounds like Robson Greene, maybe that's why he has a face veil on.

  • I would like to tan the hide and make rabbit mittens, is this method the best way of preserving the pelt? I think so, but I've yet to shoot a rabbit. They're too fast...that or I am a poor shot ;-)

  • Thanks for the great tutorial. I've seen many other videos on this, but they were much more cumbersome. Yours was much easier. Take care friend

  • Honestly I watched this video before attempting for the first time. You make it look too easy. What you accomplished in less than 3 minutes took me about 20.

  • I like the tutorial, what goes for rabbits goes for squirrels too I suppose. Thanks for sharing, this is useful info.

  • Sounds like you're from the North Riding / East Cleveland; Skelton, Lingdale?

There's a lot of Myxi about at the moment!

    Nice Video

  • so basiccaly just like a fish ?

  • this guy's done this before...very competent is seems

  • Best so far

  • go a little slower, but great video. very good.

  • professional job !

  • Good Job bro.. Im about to go make me a fur jacket and a nice stew.

  • Fast, effective, and clean. damn good job.

    thanks guys.

  • @blahk1234454 lol. yes. He was extremely fast

  • the best way i have seen to clean a rabbit, thanks guys, was a massive help

  • you have to wear Camo or a ghille suit to hunt rabbit..??? lmao... Great Video though.. how did you cook him..??

  • No, but he's hideously ugly so he left his face veil on to do us all a favour. Humming was a little camp though...

  • Nah...my friend in Los Angeles who can dress & paunching way on floor much faster And Clean than this guy on video . My buddy cuts very clean 'cuz he likes to use that furs also. this guy on video got good speed though. but my buddy i mentioned earlier leave the levers after he checked of it's color he says it's got good vitamins. ... the guy is a freakin' Asian!!!

  • Top job ;)

  • dude that was probly the sickest thing ive ever seen

  • thats a big rabbit!

  • i appreciate the tutorial...but why are you still in your camo? lol very silly

  • We where still in camo, as we where still out shooting

The vid was shot in a barn on one of the farms we have permission to shoot over

  • ah i see, it all makes so much more sense now. i thought you were back home in your garage or something haha.

  • Next tutorial.....how to clean your garage lol

  • very nice thanks for the vid i needed to learn how to do this for safety training this helped alot ! thanks again

  • Nicely done and presented, but have a look at: THE BEST WAY TO SKIN OF A RABBIT by 99999999990000000

He is soooooooo smooth. I think he is Spanish, that's why the head is left on.

  • nice one

  • Most helpful, I've been wanting to learn this. Just watching the assembly line precision this gentleman has is enjoyable too.

  • Exellant, text book demonstration. You make it look to easy. Thank you.

  • Good job, very fast and clean.

  • Wow very nice work. I see you've done that a few times....

  • That was AWESOME, damn, you make it look SOO easy. I'm going to have to try this one day, I really want to get into hunting and I figure one of the best ways to start is with small game.

  • lol "thank you very much have a nice day" with a bloody rabbit in his hands, and good vid i wondered how to do this

  • Good instructions and clean process.

    Good vid!

  • :D Great vid!! I'll keep that all in mind ^^

And I love how you were humming when you were skinning it :D

  • Good Job! I think they're open season year around in my area, too. I'm just waiting for a GRT-III for my air rifle.

  • oh, one more thing...I don't eat pig and try real hard not to eat cow. Not good for you. heh...I have had rabbit before and I'm looking forward to squirrel. Goat is delicious. I can buy it locally.

  • Rabbits are just like any other meat, great for garden as well, bet ya don't mind that roast beef or ham on your table ,so why squeal about a NATURAL NO GMO MEAT SORCE -grow up a bit crybabies-rabbits are benifical and I even use the fur hides ,the droppings for garden-I let them clean up the old vegy rows once harvested, feed them the extra vegs while they grow replaceing the older ones in my freezer-their queit, gental, and very well cared for and even petted and cuddled -just like my pigs, and cows

  • Where do you live it sounds like you have a great time and eat the way I dream about, fresh and natural the way it should be!!!!

  • kinda depends on the rain,,have ta seen my collateral damage video yet ? read the comment board 2-see I also use these rabbits to keep a check on male declines-from contamination airborn,,bunnys don't seem to be doing well as far as testis males go = hope my kept breeders will produce a litter,I do keep fresh bloodlines when breeding,,see my vid to understand

  • You made very quick work of that rabbit. Bravo!

  • Best video ,on bunny cleaning I have seen!!

  • My technique is a bit different, as I prefer to gut it first, then cut all four legs at the knee, remove the head & simply peel the skin off. Remove the meat, put it in small bags then put it in the freezer, or cook it. Last time when gutting one, I forgot my rubber gloves, & it wasn't pretty, although I now know how people like my grandad did it back in the day.

  • Very nice technique. Hey people, get off the "wasting" of the legs. There isn't enough meat there to worry about.

  • Have you not seen Donny Darko? PMSL!!

  • I have seen you post on 2 seperate field dressing videos. Give it a rest teagarden8650 people hunt, some for food some for sport. Do you think you would be here today if everyone just sat around doing nothing at the begining of time? No because we would have starved. Support responsilble hunting and harvesting.

  • one of the best responses i`ve seen in a long time....hear hear to oldrtdg2003 !! keep the countryside tidy ....control the rabbits & get free food at the same time ! :D

  • Get off ur soap box teagarden...if u dont like what u see....stop watching/searching for it !..and for ur info....Rabbits have been in the UK since Roman times...muppet !

  • @teagarden8650 The field I shoot the rabbits on I have been asked to by the owner of the paddock as one of thier horses had to be put down because it broke it's leg in a rabbit hole. Like all things without predation they will go wild, look at Australia and thier rabbit issue. But then some people only like meat in celophane with a price/lb lable on it.

  • Thanks for the video, and yes, I agree very little meat was lost when you cut the legs at the knee.

  • It's been many years since last I skinned a rabbit, watching your video was quite helpful in refreshing that memory.

Your technique is excellent, thank you for sharing.

  • PEOPLE !!!!!!!

Let me once again state that, the legs are rmoved at the knee, so VERY LITTLE meat is lost

  • i cant believe he wasted the meet but not that much but why do you take so got damn long it should only take you 35sec the most god damn come on now

  • Wow all that meat on the legs was just wasted.

  • Seeing as so many have mentioned the wastage of the back legs, I would lke to just address this matter

The back legs are removed by the KNEE joint so very little meat is lost, the rest of the leg all the way to the hip joint remains

  • yeah what was that with the legs? it looked quick but pretty wasteful, front legs not so much but theres so much meat on the back legs... had rabbit kebabs yesterday, deliciose

  • Brilliant vid, very different from the technique I was taught. Shouldn't have wasted the legs though!

  • why waste the legs fella!!!

  • very informative! I'm dressing 50lbs of rabbit tonight, and this vid was helpful

  • do you know how to make use if the skin aswell,i.e making bootshats gloves or just the process to dry the skin out,is it called tanning? or is that leather.i would like to know how if you can.nice vid. thanks

  • wonder if he's done this before. impressive.

  • thats a new way for me thanks.

  • very helpfull

  • hes wasted aload of decent meat on the hind legs

  • what about checking liver for spots or unusual growth

  • Wow, very professional and instructive; thanks!

  • Nice head shot. Not bad for pellet pushers !

Apart from that, a good demo on field skinning and paunching.

  • I'm always interested in new ways to dress rabbits and I have to say I was quite impressed with your version. Great video chaps!!

  • very nice and quick

  • Thankyou so much, one of the best vids so far

  • very professional and speedy

    excellent skills

  • Love the sound of that head coming off.

    Very helpful, cheers.

  • nice job....thanks !

  • Awesome tech. VERY helpful! Thanks again.

  • lol like u take his coat of

  • Nice to see the guys from AAOC on youtube....

    good work guys...

  • im always gaging when remove the intestence:P its so awfull

  • Very cool technique and clean too.

  • well done, I too like this method better.

  • You have done that once or twice before, Very good video and good technique :-)

  • Thanks for this, very informative and helped me clean up my technique.
