  • i wonder if this will work with wool???

  • @GentrytravelTV I've never tried it with wool. I've only used the crochet thread like I showed in the video. But it's worth a try... you just need to make sure that it absorbs the sugar water, otherwise it won't work. Good luck, let me know how it goes!!!

  • My mom did this years ago, and since then, I've always wondered if anyone else did. I made my first one with sugar, but I left a tail where I tied the string onto the balloon knot so I could hang it outside to dry. I have done subsequent ones with Stiffy so it doesn't attract ants. I made a basket with a handle. I've considered making another and posting a video:)

  • @LoquaciousByNature Oh my gosh, yes, please post a video! I would love to see how to make a basket with a handle... my skills are not that advanced... LOL Thanks so much for watching!!! :)

  • I meant I have 5 children. I bet these could easily be done with white glue and water too. I may considering making them....If I do I'll let you know

  • You are a beautiful woman, and you made a great video. My kids and I had fun watching it. Now they want to make these baskets. Hahaha. I have fun young children. I'm thinking I'm not up for that kind of messy!!

  • @alohachristine Thank you so very much!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Yes, this is a really messy project but the results are spectacular!!! The kids will LOVE it!!! Please post a video if you decide to make them... I'd love to see 'em!! :)

  • is it sticky at all if u hold it in your hands for awhile

  • @dillster7 No, once it dries it is not sticky at all. It is just hard and kinda rough feeling. But it is not sticky when it's dry. However, it is VERY sticky when it is wet and while it's drying...

  • really cute

  • Love this! Isabella would love to do this. I'm going to try it out :p Thanks for the vlog :)

  • @tarabucci Thanks so much for watching!!

  • this are so cute. but what would u use them for besides candy dishes

  • @CrikaRika14 I've seen people make bigger ones with bigger balloons and use them for centerpieces. They fill them with smaller plastic eggs, flowers, or plants. I'm sure you can think of something... :)

  • cute !!! real creative ... maybe next time i will make one and put candy for guest..

    thank's for sharing

  • @Barginjunkie69 Thanks so much!!
