That Hollywood! They wouldn't dare make "True Lies" nowadays! When they filmed Tom Clancy's "The Sum of All Fears" they made the baddies lily-white neo-nazis instead of Muslim terrorists as originally written for fear of being Van Goghed, presumably. F***ing cowards!
I haven't read the book, but from the Wiki synopsis, the Aziz character is a tad less sophisticated about women in the novel than in the movie. Might I remind the court that he's a MUSLIM (!?!) and they ain't exactly renown for their treatment of the fairer sex?!?
