dude, my 2.66MBP mid 09 boot time is 31.7s with apps that i use installed!

fresh install boot time was 27.8s! i was like OMFG :)

I deleted everything from the Hard Drive, and zeroed out the data, meaning there's nothing left on the Hard Drive. So it's like new again.

That shutdown speed is LIGHTNING fast now!!

my 2 and a half year old dell laptop takes over a minute to shut down (closer to 2) and just under 4 to turn on! Drives me crazy!
