whether it's "trite" or "banal" or "full of boasting," it's still "UP" so i say it's good. actually, it's more than good, better than better...it's simply the best! i like the uplb version, too (it's as good), but since this song is chosen to represent the UP system, then i'm for it. it's not perfect, but it catches your attention.

It's a big honor to write the song for UP's centennial year. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

BTW, the song was played by the UP Centennial Rock Band. Members came from 2 groups, being managed by Sonny Reyes, also a Tau Alphan and Eng'g grad.

Paolo - lead vocalist, GP - lead guitarist and Benny - bass player.

As far as I know, "UP Ang Galing Mo!" is the official song of the UP system for this year's Centennial Celebrations while "Isang Daan" is the song for UPLB's own centennial celebrations in 2009 but is currently being interchanged for this year's UP Centennial. Ewan ko lang kung tama ako.
