Dude this is soo BS .. ok i had to reinstall WoW after formatting my PC and i got regular WoW and all patches up till 3.0.1 .. and since i only have a 15gb PC i only have 2.10gb left .. and i cant play the game without TBC and patch 3.0.1 ... and i cant afford a hard drive .. plus WotLK is gonna take up 15gb .. im soo scrwd .. but idk how i got TBC on my pc b4 ... its sooo shitty!! .. i wanna come back to WoW!!!!

ok... so... you download patch 3.0.1 for an entire month before the release of "ECHOS OF DOOOOOOM!!!" then you gotta get patch 3.0.2, now i had a problem with the uploader saying "files could not close" then i tried it manually and i got the problem listed "localization.xml not found" i rebooted, i cried, i sold my soul for rock 'n' roll and no luck.... i waited.... got pissed off... then re-booted again... SUCCESS! i'm enjoying new patch and new talents very much, lemme know if you are as well

i finished at last! 3 days ago it used to be like 2kb/s to 10kb/s then improved to 40kb/s then 3 days ago suddenly went from 40kb/s to 450/kbs so i am guessing the patch will be out within 2 weeks. don't worry guys on patch day it will be like 400-800kb/s should be done within 1 hour or 2 depending where youa re..bear in mind the actual patch is 1.8 gig :/..damn you blizz! but i cannot wait for WotLK! ^^

This means You can actually play WoW or Be out of WoW and it will keep downloading at the same rate. all you have to do is click WoW, and the Launcher will show up. Then click options, and press Download while Playing World of Warcraft AND Download while exitted out of World of Warcraft. Once you have those 2 functions enabled, you will have this downloaded Way Faster.

Why is it going slow? - Blizzard has this new technique that lets you download probally about 95% of the patch about 3-4 weeks BEFORE the patch comes out. This is actually very smart because when the official patch comes out, October 14 2008, there will be only about 5% of the patch more to download Which means You can start back up on your WoW adventure with new talents/skills even faster. =)

This patch is setup automatically to download in the background over a period of time because its not going live for a while. You can download it in one chunk if you want to by going to the options tab on the launcher and selecting download after exiting wow and unchecking the box to throttle download as this is what causes it to download so slowly so it doesnt cause lag while playing. If it dosnt work right away try again and give it some time it downloaded normally for me after that.

well... i have windows XP, so i just look to the bottom right corner where all my lil icons are... there's a lil blizzard icon and i double-click on that and it shows how much i've downloaded, but if you look to some other comments made (which are mighty helpful) they say you won't be able to get FULL download till tuesday

Hey dude, the reason why the patch is downloading very slowly is that blizzard is not yet ready to put into live. When it does go live, your download will improve around about 1000x faster. The 1kbps download is just there so that you download the patch bit by bit, which gives Blizzard enough time to get the restart and patch going. Expect the 3.0 patch to go live on a tuesday (restart).
