Well, I don't know if Freestyle is phelps strength and he's especially not a short distance swimmer, but he's gold medal for 200 freestyle in 2008 is 1.42 and he did this in 38 seconds. taking each 25 meter in 12 seconds. so 12 plus 38 is 50 seconds and you have a 100 then double that and you have a 1.40 which is 2 seconds faster than 1.42 if you assume he does every lap at the same speed... So, I don't know. He went pretty fast.
