  • @frozenimran Stupid players! HA! Idk if u know but kiwikaki placed first in the Root Challenge tournament and is considered a damn good protoss by the SC2 community. The game wasn't noobie just macro heavy something bronze league wouldn't know shit about.

  • @Falcon896Punch My comment was based off both players performance this game... no scouting, no harassment... no nothing a low quality performance by both players who sat around macroing for 20 minutes before doing anything... kiwikaki is a great player but played poorly

    Btw i dont mind being called bronze lvl player by Sc2 and WoW nerds... i view the games for fun thats all

  • EMP is OP. Terran is imbalanced = EMP, Mules and Marauders is too strong.

  • @dsduhs maybe at the very very very very start of the beta, but i have always known them through stage 1 of beta as sentrys. i have never heard of them ever being called disruptors.

  • Protoss can use Phoenix to levitate casters before they can act and Observers to find casters in the enemy army before they hit. They can also do hit-and-run with stalkers with blink to get an idea of what the enemy has. Or they can use Hallucination to get the Terran to waste EMP on fake units. Protoss has options; he misplayed here.

  • Wow, imho, ghosts are way too powerful, what can protoss do about them? they say that high templars will have feedback, but ghosts' emp still outrange them? That´s kinda not fair for protoss, maybe the emp should be ranged-nerfed so high templars have a better chance of countering that. Or maybe i think it would be nice that the high templar have some sort of caster-lock down AoE effect, in which he also locks himself down, kinda like psi-interference mode.

  • @TheSmokinBarrels High Templar, but instead of using feedback, they use psi storm on the group of rines. I could be wrong, but psi storm is quick, and can be cast succesively and effectively.

  • Cowgomoo is an employee of Blizzard. He knows his stuff probably better than anyone else does right now. They took away the 'Toss "I win" button in Star Craft II.

    Terran has the tools now to handle 'Toss (EMP and Ghosts, which out-ranges the storms.)

    Toss needs now to rely on "quick strikes" in SCII they don't have the capability to just beat Terran down anymore.

    They have to more or less get in quick, because if they try to lumber in they go down.

  • Maybe, but it's much easier to say "oh, well, could have done this that and the other" than to actually do it. EMP out ranges storm. Can't storm without energy.

    In latin, you switch the ending of the words depending on what number of objects it is. "us" is singular, "i" is plural :) for example one pegasus, two pegasi.

  • EMP didn't decide this, it certainly helped, but he would've won regardless.

    What made the difference were those collosi being out of position when T attacked. I count 4 collosi and only 3 shots fired, not volleys as in 3x4, but just 3!

    If only they had been organized correctly at the time of contact 2 volleys would've killed pretty much all the infantry.

  • Ghost's EMP 100 dmg to shields... that is alot! Maybe 50 dmg would be enough, also a 50-100 energy drain, not a full drain. gosh... nice commentating! gg

  • The toss wasted a lot on Sentrys, at 100 gas each he could have used that gas to get more stalkers or higher tier units.

    The fight would have been very different if the toss had been able to deal with the vickings and use his colossi.

  • 0:30 FFS, "mining per second?" You are inte the "Army" info-tab. Would it strike you as odd if the numbers to the left are the mineral and gas value of the troops, and that the numbers to the left are the supplies/psi/control used for the army? Damn, go back to wc3.

  • I am a Terran player and I'm wondering what is up with Protoss and their fear of using Templar. High Templar absolutely destroy Marines and a few hidden Dark Templar can wreck infantry without the Terran even knowing whats happening during the battle. because of really high damage output.

  • Terran Infantry Swarms seem to be a bit too cost effective, considering that Colossus can be taken down by Anti-air as well. That being said though Cow had a Ghost for EMP, while Kiwi had no High Templar for Storms.

  • The yellow minerals do alot more than you seem to suggest crota. Not only does it require less workers, you get slightly more PER return trip... now over time that tiny bit more is gonna be massive. I mean look at mineral patches, and how often miners go back and forth, each trip returns 2 extra minerals which adds up.

  • You are correct, but just to clarify what Crota was refering to: 24 workers is considered full saturation on 8 minerals patches with 3 workers per field. Crota meant to suggest that the 6 mineral patches at 3 workers each (18) will harvest (almost but not exactly) the same amount as 24 normal miners

  • When you look at "Army" its not what hes mining its how much his army/workers are worth in minerals and gas. thats why it was so low after the fight :)

  • Also... woudnt psystorm have finished off like that entire army? I dont know why protoss players dont keep a few back for the latter stages of a fight

  • People are mad that I keep harping on this, but I have honestly only seen 2 Protoss victories out of about 20 games. Is it just not possible for the Protoss to win? Every game I have seen Protoss get demolished. Why are Protoss loosing so many games?

  • Because the Protoss players are playing poorly. You cannot expect to put zero pressure on your opponent and not have consequences. He went extractor first for no good reason. He had the gas for some timing attack with tech units, instead he sat in his base.

    If you turtle against Terran you deserve to lose 100% of your games.

  • You claim to have seen 20 games, yet you haven't figured out that most people play protoss. Because of this the quality of player playing protoss is much lower than that of other races.

    Why don't you stop complaining about them until you actually get a chance to play the fuckng game?

  • Cause CowGoMoo has a 110-10 record, so if you pick a random replay of his, it's probably gonna be a win.

  • i think bugzilla2001 is on to something - protoss seems a bit weak / unbalanced atm. of course i'm gussing they'll probably patch it so the 3 races are very even and balanced by the time the game ships - but i guess this is what beta testing is for. i've seen very, very few protoss victories as well
