  • how to set the a b c sound~ im stil new in mixing

  • 1) make a cue point

    2) Press under A, B, C on button "rec mode"

    3) Then select your bank A , B or C

    ;)

  • Hehehe, that was great!

  • i enjoy your videos and i learn very much and also i think you are very funny :D DJ tutor best dj teacher ever :D:D:D

  • Your mental but so good!

  • new camera? :D

  • such a simple thing to do but so effective

  • it's funny to see the djm 400 in the middle of 2 big mosters (dvj 1000) lol

  • Heheheheee =3

  • LOL WAT WASAP AT 2:10..

a lil sniff sniff of that good shit or what? lolol.

takin bumps during the videoo? lol

  • OMG BEST ENDING EVER

  • The mixer you have in this video is my second favorite mixer !!

  • Sounds very nice together..........i also agree with the non-excessive approach......dont have people shouting "hang the dj", :D:D:D

  • too much cocaine....

  • Great Video J!

  • i wonder how many non dj'd watch these video's just because they are entertaining lol

  • How can you see who is a dj and who not?

  • you missed my point, what i was trying to say was these video's are so entertaining that i bet people who don't dj watch them because they're entertaining.

  • Okay, sorry and thanks!

  • Thanks 5/5

  • Nice video. Another alternative to using the channel faders is to press "cue". You can press cue instead of moving the channel fader to the down position.

"Somewhat off-topic question": Does everyone constantly adjust there gain volume knobs depending on there track when playing a set to maintain an even volume level throughout the mix?

  • always a good idea to watch the gain , this way you get a good constant level of vol j

  • great as always.

  • Good man!

  • you are awesome, i and so many people owe you so much, cheers mate

  • hi j,

Im a pretty new dj, but I want it a bit more advanced, i got a cdn and a mixer, but I want like , cdj´s or a vinyl, but cant find any cheap ones, could you help me? :)

  • for this kind of stuff i really like the vestax vci-100 with ean golden's firmware. way more options with cues and such... but still a good vid for newbies nonetheless

  • "Where's the off button?"

    Hahaha xD

  • where those the cdj 1000 mk2 or mk3?!

  • haha neither of them! Those are dvj's :P

  • ooooo ok it said so because the play button is blue and it has the light over where you put the cds blue too. thanks for replying ;)

  • constament le nez qui coule,hein? ;)

  • Awsome fucking video and idea !

Its against my nature to make you compliments haha, but that was fckn brilliant .. sounded perfect in key and time.

Have you seen my vid concerning accapellas from 2 days before ? Ill put it as a reponse.

By the way, do you wanna sort out the ustream-high quality thing today evening ? Call me on Skype.

    Fab

  • how many cdjs, mixers etc. in total do you have actualy?

  • nice nice thanks but I wanna know how to synchronize an acapella with a track so how do u do that?

  • if you have a good beatcounter (CDJs, mixer or software) you can use that BPM figure but mostly you have to do it by ear

  • Someone message me a link to download good acapellas free of course.

  • ill be buying off e bay so itl be cheaper btw :D

  • hi mate.

im going to get some cd decks, and would reeaaly like ones with the "hot cue" on them.

Ive been looking at the axis 9's but dont think they have this =/.

i have around £350 to spend on 2 decks. what decks would you recomend that have the "hot cue" function.

    thanks very very much matey!!

  • axis 9 have hot cue, its an awsome product, but Id reccomend the vestax cdx-05 , pretty good and cheap, just like 50 euros/ dollars more to the axis 9. Its more controlable than the axis 9 , but axis 9 is also good monster too :).

  • Gotta love any eric prydz tracks good selection jono! awsome use of the acapella:)

  • You may find that using Madonna will result in this video being muted!

  • agree, as madonna and prince are a big no no, but i want to see what happens. ? j

  • Utter crap if WMG does that to this video...this music is fair use as it is used for educational content!

  • very cool i need to swap me turntables for cdjs

  • Love it. :o)

  • uhm, where can i get acapella records? thanks

  • got e bay . uk and type in acapela. j

  • You sometimes get acapellas as b sides on 7" (and sometimes 12") releases, mostly with hip hop n stuff.

  • Some acapellas help you by playing a very light percussion beat (like hi hats) in the background.

  • so you can't get it on regular audio cd, and only on vinyls? tnx for your reply

  • You can get it on CD too! Sorry, I thought you were asking just about vinyl. There's loads of acapellas out there on the web to download too - just google a song name + acapella :)

  • aahhhh, ok. thanks a lot. im just starting to become a dj so i dont know much about djing yet, thanks

  • Can i hotcue with cdj 800 mk2?

  • Great Tutorial, thanks mate

  • verry nice

  • you english men are funny and silly, but good personality, and informative video. this has become one of my favorite channels. this guy is really got great rythm in he's hands, to cut it and chop the acapela in like to the beat like that.

  • hey.. jus noticin he has a nose piercing nice tutuorial btw

  • finally a tutorial! i've been waiting forever for this....

  • Joke at the end had me laughing, great tutorial as always!

  • i know this is random but can denon dn-s1200 be used with the pioneer djm 400?

  • yes. you can use any cd players together.... whether or not it would be easy is a different thing i guess.

  • The Denon is a Cd Player, and the Pioneer is a mixer. can i use the denons together with the pioneer mixer?

  • ohhh lol im sorry man.... not too familiar with pioneers gear, but yes! You should be able to use just about any cd player with any mixer as long as they have connectable ports... like RCA to RCA or Digital to digital.

  • pretty good :)

  • that sounds coooooooooool!

  • Great tutorial. I actually like playing the track's original beat along with its acapella, and then taking out the beat and replacing it with a different one mid-phrase while still playing the acapella at the same time. Of course, you need at least 3 turntables to do this.

  • that sounded great!

  • Do you really need hot cue to do this? I like how that sounds.

  • .... I wish i had the money to get the stuff u have... =(

But im happy enough with my crappy little CDM3600!

    Better then nothin! =D

  • Is it really crap, this CDM3600 ? Soon, Gemini shall release CDMP 5000 (or a better version of it) Do you have any idea if they worth the money?

  • I love my CDM3600.

Its the first CDJ ive ever owned (and my only one)

Its GREAT for the price, but has some minor flaws. And the lack of scratching is noticable but not needed if you aleady got a pair of turntables like i do!

And i really like the mixer!

... I might make a review sooner or later...

  • Some minor flaws.... like what? please, I 'd like to buy one, but I wonder if it would be better if I wait for a CDMP6000 (even if I'm not fond to play mp3's or music from any USB device, but this model has another display, with the BPM and some other stuff includded...)

  • Awesome.

  • Wow that actually sounded awesome! Came out well.

  • giving me alot of ideas J

    THANKS

  • acapellas and potatoes actually go good together

  • aye J can you make a video on the djm 909 Im really interested in that mixer

  • that works pretty well in your vid actually mate

  • resppppeecttt

  • thanks

  • this guy is a legend

  • great tutorial on acapellas :)

  • Budgie! hahaha.

    Great video J :)
