I once told another person that my only dream, my only goal for the rest of my life, was to have a family, grow old with someone.

He said that that was kinda sad and that I should find another dream.

But... I WANT to grow old with someone. I WANT to work at a job every week so that I can help support us through life. I want a kid or two, I want to live a relativity boring life.

'Cause to me, it'd never be boring...

This is only a little sad, cause most people don't experience an entire life with a loving spouse. Many people are so egocentric that they cannot grow old together with another individual. They managed to grow old together which demands an open mind on both parts, so I see this story as a success generally speaking. If only they had opened their minds more and realize that the desire for genetic children is an instinct that people can overcome and that they could love an adopted as much.
