"Pretty bold" How so? I wouldn't say so considering it was already a well known, well played game that, before BF3, took team work, strategy and time to play. I wouldn't go as far to say it's pretty bold.
But they still fucked up the execution. It could have went so much better if it wasn't for them trying to tend to the CoD community. Most of them won't even switch to the other side of CoD (treyarch) so chances of moving to a new title and developer entirely is slim.

I got MW3 and Battlefield 3. Mw3 was basically the same as any other COD but Battlefield was new in the graphics and the way it was played, basically it felt like it was a whole different game. MW3 didn't have that effect for me so I have to say Battlefield was a better game than Cod this year IMO.

CoD sux, that's for sure. The bad thing is, BF3 sux even more. Sure, it has great graphics and epic sound, but i couldn't be more disappointed about the rest. Balance doesn't exist at all in this game. Maps are unbalanced, weapons are unbalanced and team balance is even a bigger joke. In 9/10 matches u will be teamed up with lvls 20- against lvls 40+, which means u have absolutelly no chances to win. Of course in a couple of minutes u will be also outnumbered since autobalance is broken.

COD and its dev are good at what they do which is make games that apless to the masses. It so easy to pick up and play. Every one feels like a pro. If you go into a lobby and ask people are they good , they will say yes Im better than average when they probaly have a less than 2 kd.
A 2kd is bad but they still think that they are good because of how easy COD. Thus this shows CODs ablity to make everyone feel like they are a pro.

How can u compare MW3 and BF3? they are so different that u simply cant compare them. BF3 is slow paced war "simulator", it looks good but for me it too boring. I cant rush there like on COD games. @make17th Well if playing rush while in a squad of friends, rushing up to plant the mcom with mortars shells flying, tanks hummers jets helicopters and more rushing your way, ground troops raining bullets in your direction bluring your screen to the point where you can barely see your own weapon, finally dying and spawning on your buddies to help fight off everything mentioned before they deactivate the planted mcom is too slow paced for you, then I don't see how CoD is any better of a choice
I've been a COD player since COD-4 MW and will always love the game. That being said, Inanity Ward , imho, makes a WAY better COD experience then Treyarche could ever create. I couldn't care less about the next "Black Ops" installation but I'm def excited about MW3. On that note, Battlefield 3 is gonna be an epic game as well. Any true FPS gamer would be doing themselves a HUGE disservice by ignoring either of these games.
If you want mw3 all you need is to take you mw2 disk and change the 2 for a 3 !!! honestly Battlefield 3 is the best shooter that I ever played (beta)
@rPedroIII the beta was a 3 month old version of battlefield 3 it wasnt supposed to be perfect. They had a beta because they wanted to strain there servers and get community feedback so they could fix core problems of the game such as over powered guns, spawns, server flexibility etc.

For a game that doesnt reward kills, i dont see why people try to get them so much. And the fact that the maps are enormous make it even harder to kill those basterds. also, even though black ops weeded out some faults of mw2, the amount of faults that stayed with the game made me wonder why they needed a whole new game to miss so many key faults with either perks or killstreaks or even classes. just seems like the COD franchise tries too hard to put out new games fixing SOME of the mistakes too fast, and in turn makes it a bad game in the long run. sure it's fun at first, but black ops has been out for how many months only and is already super boring?
black ops was the tipping point for the COD saga. the community is awful, the maps are getting boring, spawns are annoying, hit detection is awful, and to top it all off the gun selection is very weighted so to speak (famas, commando, ak47, galil, and AUG are the only guns 50% of all matches are fought with). the submachine guns in black ops just can't compete with the power of the assault rifles, and as a quick scoper myself, i can't tell you how awful and inconsistent the scope is on the l96.
DICE doesnt try to beat or kill CoD they just try to bring gaming to next level so shut up fanboys.. And dont say u are a fanboy if u only have played Bad Company 2 if want to be a fanboy.. what's really impressive is how DICE and EA managed to pick up so much hype for BF3, it's received amazing and well-deserved reception from the gaming community.
I have never played Battlefield, but I don't hate on it because it actually looks legit. Just say "fuck it" and play both, or whichever you like more. I still have fun playing all of the CODs so that's what I play. Battlefield looks like fun though.

Anybody who has played the CoD series from the beginning will tell you that their games have gone WAY downhill. IMO CoD 4 set the bar, and no CoD game since then has even come close to it. The sad thing is that it seems like they're just making more games for the money, and not to satisfy gamers. It's a shame that fanboys will buy anything that says "Call of Duty" no matter how much of a piece of shit it is. I've played since CoD 1, and I say fuck MW3. I'll be spending my money on BF3 this year.

COD and its dev are good at what they do which is make games that apless to the masses. It so easy to pick up and play. Every one feels like a pro. If you go into a lobby and ask people are they good , they will say yes Im better than average when they probaly have a less than 2 kd.
A 2kd is bad but they still think that they are good because of how easy COD. Thus this shows CODs ablity to make everyone feel like they are a pro.

How can u compare MW3 and BF3? they are so different that u simply cant compare them. BF3 is slow paced war "simulator", it looks good but for me it too boring. I cant rush there like on COD games. @make17th Well if playing rush while in a squad of friends, rushing up to plant the mcom with mortars shells flying, tanks hummers jets helicopters and more rushing your way, ground troops raining bullets in your direction bluring your screen to the point where you can barely see your own weapon, finally dying and spawning on your buddies to help fight off everything mentioned before they deactivate the planted mcom is too slow paced for you, then I don't see how CoD is any better of a choice

I've been a COD player since COD-4 MW and will always love the game. That being said, Inanity Ward , imho, makes a WAY better COD experience then Treyarche could ever create. I couldn't care less about the next "Black Ops" installation but I'm def excited about MW3. On that note, Battlefield 3 is gonna be an epic game as well. Any true FPS gamer would be doing themselves a HUGE disservice by ignoring either of these games.

@rPedroIII the beta was a 3 month old version of battlefield 3 it wasnt supposed to be perfect. They had a beta because they wanted to strain there servers and get community feedback so they could fix core problems of the game such as over powered guns, spawns, server flexibility etc.

@dicbrain906 gladly, i will tell you the most annoying thing about the game, the community, no one cares about the objectives, its all about getting stupid kills while being prone in a corner. For a game that doesnt reward kills, i dont see why people try to get them so much. And the fact that the maps are enormous make it even harder to kill those basterds. I was so excited for this game, i wanted to like it, i tried, seriously, but its just another case of a great idea poorly executed

1. ??? You are mixing up the Bad Company spin-off series with the main titles, this is not a sequel to Bad Company , this is the sequel to Battlefield 2 (which is one of the best selling shooters for the PC ever), this is supposed to be the flagship title of the BF series, not another BC2.
2. According to Wikipedia, The CoD franchise has sold ~100 (!) million, while BF has sold about 30 million.

Firstly, im buying both of them. But 1000% im going to end playing Bf3 while mw3 collects dust and here are my reasons.
1: I don't need killstreaks I can fly a jet, instead of dying and getting pisped off.
2: The community in Bf is layed back and much more skilled and don't act like bitches.
3: No camping because you camp I blow blow your ass off with my apache
4: They take care of the community and don't rip them off with 4 four map packs they give you one for $5 at the start

and for the record i think that releasing i believe it was FOUR DLC'S for black ops was rediculous and greedy. instead of making the consumer spend $60 on the game, and $15 on four different DLC's, take two of them and put them into the game from the beginning that way the consumer doesn't have to spend $120 on a game that will be outdated by the time the next one in the series comes out in 2 years. for the record, i'm a COD player gonna get BF3 over MW3. just trying to ease either sides fanboys

also, even though black ops weeded out some faults of mw2, the amount of faults that stayed with the game made me wonder why they needed a whole new game to miss so many key faults with either perks or killstreaks or even classes. just seems like the COD franchise tries too hard to put out new games fixing SOME of the mistakes too fast, and in turn makes it a bad game in the long run. sure it's fun at first, but black ops has been out for how many months only and is already super boring?

black ops was the tipping point for the COD saga. the community is awful, the maps are getting boring, spawns are annoying, hit detection is awful, and to top it all off the gun selection is very weighted so to speak (famas, commando, ak47, galil, and AUG are the only guns 50% of all matches are fought with). the submachine guns in black ops just can't compete with the power of the assault rifles, and as a quick scoper myself, i can't tell you how awful and inconsistent the scope is on the l96.

Anybody who has played the CoD series from the beginning will tell you that their games have gone WAY downhill. IMO CoD 4 set the bar, and no CoD game since then has even come close to it. The sad thing is that it seems like they're just making more games for the money, and not to satisfy gamers. It's a shame that fanboys will buy anything that says "Call of Duty" no matter how much of a piece of shit it is. I've played since CoD 1, and I say fuck MW3. I'll be spending my money on BF3 this year.
