  • Love the lip color!...TRACK

  • You are a very handsome man, Those eyes...thanks for the tutorials...TRACK

  • Thank you for the trick witch Powder Gelee and lips. I am so thank full for Your film.

  • I LOVE how you used the lipstick as an eyeshadow. But I have really really oily lids, even with shadow primer, my liners and shadows budge after a few hours. How would you recommend I copy this look?

  • You kinda sound off sync... Or is it just me???

  • I am one of the disappointed who did not get my hands on the illuminating powder. It is sold out on line and also at my two nearest EL counters. Do you have any recommendations for a similar product?

  • @JenniKat1 I'd wait to see if one of the new Cyber Eyes eye shadows works for you. They should be launching this November at counters (pre-ordering right now on-line though). There is ALSO a bronzing version of this powder that is supposed to be coming out... I think in February. I haven't seen it though, I don't know how dark it is... and no... I can't think of a dupe for this.

  • You are like the Alton Brown of make-up.

  • @mistylovesmakeup I vlogged about that very thing about six months ago :)

  • Have you even been to CALTEC? The astrophysics building is a good example of what this collection represents! The Disney opera house in downtown LA of course being the best example I can think of seen as how its basically a pure chrome building. Love you!

  • @GenocideGinn I haven't been there but I know exactly what you are talking about :)

  • I'd never in a million years wear that look, but I LOVE it on her.

  • Looking for the Estée Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelée to purchase if anyone has one to sell or knows who shill has it.....thx : )

  • Dustin is everything ok? This last video was uploaded over a month ago. We miss you!

  • @twitternut Yup - just busy. My schedule changed from 4-5 gigs per month to 4-5 gigs per week this past month. I'm also in the recording studio three days a week working on an album for someone else as well as trying to finish my own (I'm a busy bee who isn't sleeping very much... I need eye cream LOL!) I've got several new videos in editing right now though - kind of all at once - keep an eye out for them :)

  • It's nice to see someone do an in-depth review of Estee Lauder products. There aren't that many here on youtube:)

    thanks for the video!

  • Dame it man! I missed this line! However I'm glad I found you. Great everything. I appreciate the info. I'm subscribed now, keep it coming

  • I love the makeup!! I want the highlighter :[

  • Gaaaaaaaaaah soooo upset I missed out on this collection! The highlighter is freakin phenom! Great video+review+tip+tutorial! ps. love your hair this way ;)

  • i just love you. frick.

  • i went shopping today and i found three macy's locations here in southern cali [orange county - brea santa ana and cerritos] that actually had a bunch of the illuminating powders if anyone reading is interested and in the area.

  • Got the illuminating gelee online from bloomingdales right before it sold out! Love it!

  • Your creativity in your videos is awesome!! Love them all!

  • it's - a - chicken at MAC!

  • I lover your videos and your reviews are brilliant!! The makeup tutorial..wow....what a stunning look!! I only wish you had zoomed in a wee bit closer with the camera while working on the eyes but all I can say again is WOW, fantastic!! :) xxx

  • your channel is hand's down my fave on youtube - thanks for always doing the best makeup collection reviews, product tips, & demos!! you rock :)

  • That nail polish trick was sheer genius! Loving your work <3

  • I MUST have that illuminating gelée powder! How lovely it is!

And that powder is like a good cleaning detergent---you can use it on everything. ;-)

  • LOVED the eye look Dusty! I love that you use products in "weird" and wonderful ways. :)

  • YES YES YES on the vids that are like the tarte for true blood vids. they were super awesome. XD

  • im so happy i found this channel....not like the others :)

  • Love it! And you are gorgeous :)

  • Loved the new format! EL should be paying you big bucks to present their products in such a fabulous way! Looking forward to the Chanel and EL foundation overviews! I would rather see those two brands before you go on to Dior.

  • i LOVE that you're kinda sporting an Eric Northman hair during your review :)

  • Hi, just wanted to know, are you a make up artist, if not, what are you?

  • @93megan93 Thanks for subscribing :) Read the "About Me" section on my channel page or follow the links to my website in the info section.

  • @93megan93 He's a bit of everything! That's why I love him.

He had a contest a while back to write the about me section on his website! He chose an awesome parody one! Check it out if you get the chance.

  • hey cutie loved the review as always and really loved the makeup look at the end i think im sold on that hightlighter powder it was amazing used wet on the lids

  • I so love your videos, love the newness and edginess...... I CAN NOT wait for hour CHANEL Foundation Review!!!

    Thank you Dustin......

  • Love the look of the products! However, I went to 2 Lord and Taylors, 2 Nordstroms, 1 Neiman Marcus and 2 Macy's yesterday and today and none of them carry it. I was told it was sold out in July. I'm so bummed because I wanted to test the products out and give myself a nice birthday treat.

  • @javajunkie101 This collection is REALLY limited edition - I wish more stores were carrying it, I couldn't get ahold of everything in person either - Had to order half of it on-line. MAC is the only brand that I can think of that has SOLID launch dates (because they do SO many LE collections). Modern Mercury was out a month before Macy's had it over here. Every store seems to be different. I'm glad I bought it all though, I've been happy with it :)

  • Love love love

  • Thanks for another great video. I enjoy watching you :)

  • Your videos are aways such a treat - gorgeous camera quality, lighting, artistic filming, variation, knowledge, inspiration, eloquency and humour. You put so much work into your videos, for us all to enjoy. Thank you.

  • I blame you for my recent purchases :P

(... but I'm glad I blame you because the illuminating gelee sold out very quickly online AND at my counter)

  • Great video. Thank you!

ps. you have really pretty eyes :)

  • Oops. iPad misspelled lauder into lauded. Hahaha... I was kind of hoping you'd do a review on ac me over but this tutorial is much better. Especially coz it has a tutorial too

  • @axcvilla I usually get really excited for the big MAC fall collections. There is always a HUGE one that comes out almost on my birthday so I get to splurge and have an excuse. Unfortunately that collection this year was MAC Me Over - I just wasn't feeling much of it.

  • I have never bought anything lauded but this review makes me want to go and check it out... I love watching you work. Your videos are works of art. Truly inspiring.

  • I saw the powder reviewed on a blog and immediately called the two counters closest to me.. to no avail ;_; But it was still available online! Sooooo happy

  • @septimber It is selling out REALLY fast at the counters that have it. I missed it too - I bought mine from Macy's on-line. Most of the on-line department stores still have it in-stock (as well as EL's website).

  • Did anyone else think he REALLYY looked like adam from mythbusters in the beginning reflective-y bit? LOL

  • Dusty, last week I picked up the illuminator, I just love it, after this tutorial I picked up the fuchsia lipstick, platinum eye duo and the foundation powder brush. Thanks for the fab review. Linda

  • @lindalooby1000 Cool! Those are some of the best pieces! Let me know how you like the brush - I LOVE mine! I got it just a couple months ago and I use it constantly now :)

  • Dusty I loved this from beginning to end! The three segments were done very well. I hope to see more of this format from you. Congratulations to you and Jay Becker on a job well done! And thanks to Jade Jericho too.

  • Hey ! I just bought a pair of RayBan's which I love but the bridge is a bit narrow. Are you wearing RayBan's? If so I would really love to know the number. They are a really great fit on you!

  • @9J9L9 Thanks! They are... They look like the 5213's to me but the number has rubbed off on mine so I can't read it anymore!

  • Oh! Missed you!

  • I MUST HAVE THAT POWDER D!!

  • Must hunt down pretty powder, took me forever to find whatever you recommended last, to the mall.

  • Damn these artsy fartsy videos, they should get you to do their "guerilla social marketing" ..... and when you use those ridiculous colors on goat hair brushes what do you use to keep them white??

  • @deedeeTN I use "The Masters" 'Brush Cleaner.' It's for paint and ink brushes (I've used it for YEARS for getting india ink out of sablehair paintbrushes). It gets EVERYTHING out! Wonderful stuff for lipstick too! Cleans up quickly and is gentle on the bristles. Comes in a little yellow-ish round container.

  • Intro..awesome! The tutorial is gorgeous!

  • Impressive as always

  • Wow, loved the look you did with the products - it really suited the model too :D

  • Ya thats what I first thought! Just had to make sure because it looks great! And I was curious because I work for Elizabeth Arden and I want to see what people like from the line. The 8hr cream is amazing there is no doubt about it lol, also what you might really like is the Ceramide capsules ask for a sample at your local counter. Also the thing I am in love with at the moment is the Ceramide Plump perfect face mask! U will look like Leather face but afterwards it feels GREAT! lol

  • It's wonderful to see another video from you! I love anyone whose makeup work goes outside of rigid boundaries. I'll have to get the highlight powder, I have something in mind for it. Thanks again!

  • You have pretty hands. Hahaha. I've missed your videos!

  • WOO HOO!! FINALLY you're back!! I've soo soo missed your videos and of course, YOU!! Loving the quality and whole feel of this video, it was very informative and I just love how you always teach us new ways of using simple products like a matte lipstick and use it as a eyeshadow base or how you dust the metallic powders over almost dried nail polish..you're an absolute genius!! ;) <3 I've had my eye on the gelee powder for some time now, although it might be too dark for my pale skin?? MichelleX

  • @MissRubyRouge Haha! Thanks for commenting :) It's nice to be back here responding to comments after a month away! To the question though: I don't think it'd be too dark. I'm SUPER pale too (NW15 usually). The amount of peachy color it lays down is SO minimal - It's more of a suggestion than an actual statement ;)

  • I don't even have words for how attractive you are. You look really good in that sleeveless tee with the powder on you shoulders.

    I love your videos!

  • @NuniMuS Hehe! Thanks so much! I kinda like the tan in that segment too ;) I don't tan naturally (burn then gone, maybe some freckles) and faux tans don't look good on me - FAR too orange! I find that makeup is the best way to go so for "special occassions" I have been swearing by the Terra Firma gel bronzer. It's REALLY red-toned so it looks uber natural on pale skin like mine. Only trouble is, even when I'm "tan" I'm still far more pale than everyone else I know! LOL!

  • i always love your intro's!

  • Amazing, as per usual. Love ya Dusty! :)

  • I'm really digging the new segmented format of your videos.

I also really like how you give us different uses for products I would of assumed could only be used one way like the highlight powder and the lipstick. I'm excited to try my lipstick as a cream base now.

  • @NykkeyzB Thank you! I love doing vids like this! I have several that I'm scripting out right now and I'm hoping with this format I can do "field trips" too (talk to other pros in hair and makeup, etc.). Only down side is that these vids take awhile to finish (It's hard to pull off more than one a month). Glad you like though! I know 15-20 min is intimidating but my hope is that if it's full of good content and edited well, that people will watch :)

  • @dustyohunter I really like your shorter videos so adding another 5-10 mins to that is actually a plus. If having longer and well put together video means going for a longer time period between them I'd rather see that than quick crappy thrown together vids.

  • @NykkeyzB I appreciate the feedback! I will MOST likely end up doing a few shorter vids here and there so that there isn't SO much time in-between vids BUT I still really enjoy the process of doing videos like this. I'm working on a "brush care/maintenance/storage" video, "men's makeup/beauty," etc. I'm thinking I'll probably bump "summer/beach makeup" to Dec/Jan/Feb or so... for my Aussie peeps :) Hehe!

  • You are so god damn amazing at what you do. So inspiring.

  • your videos are always worth the wait! fabulous and really awesomely good! :D

  • You are so creative with make up.

  • Fantastic video, as usual. Only problem is, now I want every single product in this collection! <3

  • why allways a 'drive safe' at the end? is there any particular reason? BTW, I love the artsy style of your videos!

  • @idabrunski I'll tell you sometime in another video :)

  • I love your creation and inspiration!!! Nice review as well :)

  • You are a anglel

  • everytime I see a new dustyohunter video posted, my heart <3 skips a beat!! I LOVE WHAT YOU DO WITH MAKEUP!! I love how you explain every product and take the time to edit you videos in such a cool way!! HANDS DOWN BEST MAKEUP GURU ON YOUTUBE!!!!!

  • @SweetSofilicious i concur!

  • @NykkeyzB Thanks! :o)

  • amazing! you are so creative!

  • You are just so legit as a make up artist. And so bloody handsome!

  • Every time you pop into my subscription box, it makes me so happy! It's so obvious you put a lot of work into your videos, thanks so much :)

  • SO happy to see you making videos again I really enjoy watching you're videos and seeing what you do with the products from a male artists point of view. Also I must ask...what foundation are you using?! Looks flawless! lol and also what skincare do you use from Elizabeth Arden if you do not mind me asking?

Looking forward to seeing more vids!

    Todd T. :)

  • @TO2ThaDoubleD Aw thanks! In my videos I almost always use MAC's Studio Fix Fluid. It's my favorite foundation for video. In person you can see it more than you can here because it's so heavy but on camera it looks amazing! As for Arden, I've been swearing by their 8 Hour Cream SPF 50 this summer. It doesn't really do ANYTHING (by way of special ingredients) for your skin but it has a really good SPF and doesn't feel like sunscrean (or smell like it) in ANY WAY! Love it! :)

  • Dusty I am so happy you did this video . I love EL and I don't think they get the Love that they should on YT , I know more and more are using and loving their foundation but the line itself has so many wonderful products. I did get the nail polish and the highlighter . Thank You for showing me ways to use it . You are the best :)) Susie ~

  • @sek4me Thanks so much! I completely agree with you on EL :) MAC gets a ton of attention and I love MAC but EL is too often overlooked for color - They make some colorful stuff (some of it brighter than MAC)!

  • The fact that you used a lipstick as a base for an eyeshadow is one of the reasons why I love you.

    You're quite sexy too.

  • @Wagnerrrific Thanks! :) xo I use lipstick as eyeshadow base all the time... Matte shades work well that way (less creasing than something more creamy or glossy).

  • Greta video and great tips!

  • Oh how I missed you :0) xxxJoolsxxx

  • @BarrysDaughter HUGS! :) xo

  • you are my favorite. yep. there. i admitted it. when i finally get around to visiting, i may never leave :P

  • you make me lust for so many things!

  • I love you SO much :) Be my friend forever, please :)

  • @rockzannYO Oh... Okay :)

  • you are absolutely unreal don't ever stop what you're doing, you were born with a GIFT!!!

  • I've got to say, I think you're probably the compelling force behind me looking at Estee Lauder as something beyond a brand that's targeted for the older folks/generation. It's interesting and helpful to see you do things that break my perception of "the target audience" when it comes to cosmetics

  • @dancinbluegirl Thanks! I want to say lots to this but I can actually sum it all up by just saying that I'm kind of a contrarian by nature... It kind of bugs my friends. LOL ;)

  • Dusty, would you say that EL highlighter is better than NARS Albatross? I can only buy 1 now....i am a NC 45. Thanks.

  • @urbanfabchic I think it's better than Albatross but they are very different. Albatross is much lighter, this has more peach warmth to it. I'm sure there are MSFs by MAC that look similar to the EL highlighter, but MSFs can look so "cheap" sometimes and I know too many people (myself included) who have allergic problems with MSFs. My recommendation is if you can only afford one, pick up the Lauder one because it's SO limited edition, you can always pick up Albatross another day, it's permanent.

  • Nice!!! You are the bomb!!

  • Ohhhh Dusty, We miss you when youre gone :(

  • You are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love that tutorial! I've been looking for a very unique rocker look for a while. Thanks a lot!

  • Can u please do a makeup collection video? Thanks!

  • What is that colorful thing you have at the end of your brushes?

  • @lilhiphopgirl101 It's how I label my brushes... I've been wanting to do a video on it for months but haven't finished it yet. Argh! :P

  • did her eyes fall off because of the lipstick??? i'm pretty shure the didnt xD

  • Please do more videos with you doing other people's makeup! This is an AWESOME look :)

  • Luv the review! Im going to run out and get that powder. P.s. U are adorable!

  • Ugh! Dusty, you're so disgustingly talented. I love you man. ;-)

  • Fab video Dustin..as always! I'm wondering: I know how much you like Estee Lauder.. how does it compare to Elizabeth Arden cosmetics? I keep hearing they're almost exactly the same. Thank You! xo

  • @Brittanyesta600 I have only used Arden skincare really... They have some things that I like though.
