Nah nVidia's got fermi all wrong, the GTX 480 is so much worse than the 5000 series, basically its more expensive, consumes a whole load more power, and just gets real hot due to the higher voltage. ATI did fix their drivers did they?

@ferrarithief no, their drivers ARE STILL shit. If ati's dx11 card's drivers prove that they are good I'm switching immediately.

@ferrarithief Got a nvidea 480 gtx now and I need to say. It's MUCH BETTER than ati's 5000 series and it doesn't run hot when playing games. It basically stays at 70C no matter what you're doing and best of all. NO DRIVER ISSUES!

i'm sorry but i fucking hate the new 5000 series of ati graphics cards, i got a 5850 and the drivers fucks up all the time, every day my drivers shut off at least once.

I completely agree. I made a video about it on my separate account. Seeing as I edit hd videos IT'S A GIANT ISSUE. If ati doesn't fix it by the time nvidea's new cards come out I'll be saying fuck you to ati.

To be honest, I own both nVidia and ATI cards and both of them have driver issues sometimes. HOWEVER, if your drivers are crashing and resetting it is almost guaranteed that your video card is overheating. Another common issue with driver crashes is that the power supply is too weak. Seeing as how you have an antec 300, I'm really amazed that you managed to fit a 5870 in there. However the airflow is probably not great at all. I would suggest getting an intake fan one of your PCI slots.

I'm getting the board you mentioned with the usb 3.0 and the sata 6g ... just a note if you use crossfire the newer board actually uses the bandwidth for the pci express x1 slot.. (something to do with the chipset limitations.) making one port on the board useless once you setup crossfire... not a worry since I'm going with a 5870 as well. Cant wait until Jan!

Very nice. I have the same Radeon video card and it's quite nice. I like to dual boot linux and Windows XP which I probably should get windows 7 but I'm saving up for a new airsoft gun haha. I will probably get it from you. Oh also i find it funny how like the way you describe your comp is a lot like your airsoft reviews " the foam feels great on your palms" lol.

just got window 7 for my custom PC and i got to say it is a pretty big improvment over the vista operating system i have on my other computer, that being said, i have to agree with you jarek vista is a great operating system

I haven't updated my computer since 2007, and I WAS running a E6600, and a 8800GTS x2 in SLI, but now I switched everything out, updated to DDR3, got a i7, and finally got a 5970. The damn thing is THIRTEEN inches long!!! Won't even fit in my Antec 1200!!! But anyway, nice set up jarek, how are you liking Windows 7? I'm debating on if I should update to Windows 7 or just stay with Vista; Vista works fine for me.

That's what we like to call not knowing what you're doing and getting a virus. All you have to do is download avast which is free. Or you had a cheap craptastic pc like a dell. Either way I think we can agree that custom pcs are the way to go.
