This kinda sucks. The witch was funny, but too soulful, Red and Cinderella were ok, Jack and The Baker were bad, and the sets and costumes sucked. However I do appreciate you guys keeping on tempo. Too many productions slow it down.
That is definitely the fastest Your Fault I have ever heard. It definitely upped the tension, though I felt like the actors struggled to convey their emotions because of the lack of time they had. As for the Last Midnight, it is definitely a different approach to the Witch, and the contrast of the theatre-esque Your Fault and poppy Last Midnight reemphasizes the divide the Witch discusses, but I do wish she had toned the pop down a bit, as it seems to overwhelm the song rather than enhancing it.
I don't know why people complain about how the witch sings this, it's her rendition and she sounds amazing so I don't see the problem with her singing it her way!!! And it's not cool with people saying she's ghetto!!! She's awesome and this is a school production so I don't see the problem!!!
wow this is the best rendition of 'your fault' i've seen, it's up to speed whereas the others are all slowed down because the actors usually can't keep up. this was really good
Thank you, as Music Director for this show I consider this a wonderful compliment. We worked really hard to get the tempo up because it has so much more intensity at a quick tempo!
Seriously i was not Expecting this from this girl... SOMEONE FORGOT TO WORK ON HER ACTING SKILLS THOUGH... THE VOCAL COACH GETS A 10 THE ACTING COACH GETS FIRED...
Regardless of how she sounds( which is only good) its better than what some other witches who did this play sound like! GO WITCH !! YOUR THE BEST EVER!!
I disagree. The actress (or the director) adapted the witch's personality to make her more relatable to the audience. She's more nasty, with more of a no-nonsense attitude in the "oh no you didn't!" kinda way. I think it makes perfect sense with the show, or at least more understandable to the audience.
Not to mention the witch has an awesome voice. I do think, however, that on top of nasty, she should have terrorized the other cast members more.
It's the scooping, and sliding into the pitch that I think people take issue with. I tend to agree, unless the character has some reason to sing like someone who can't find a pitch and hit it right the first time, she has no reason to do so. She seems like a strong singer, and shouldn't have to take the scenic route to find the pitch, because once she's there, her intonation is impeccable.
the witch sounded amazing!!!!!! do you have the rest of her performing this song??!?!?

That Witch has a good voice but someone should tell her to stop trying to sing like Mariah Carey....it's all wrong for the show.
