@tpgear321 since you're a beginner i suggest you try to exercise your finger muscle and stretch your fingers or try getting your grip better....for example squeeze on a tennis ball for a while to get that grip going....and for the buzzing is either you do not have a good guitar or you're not pressing on the frets as hard as you should be..it would be painfull for a while but you'll get used to it...not that u cant play, i was just like you so do what i say and you'll b ok...

hey i intend to buy my first guitar next week and i see that youre teaching using a 6 string guitar and i probably will get a 4 string bass guitar since the guy at the store recommended it for begginners and on top of that its cheaper, would it be better if i start off with a 4 string or with a 6 string ?

@Ruski18 im sorry i assumed a 6 string meant a guitar, but if your gonna stick with a bass i would shoot for a 4 string seeing as how many bands have bass players with a 4 string bass, it might be easier to get tabs or music sheets designed for a 4 string as apposed to a 6 string. and i don't think bass is inferior to lead because the guitars are meant for a specific field, and one cant do the job of the other so i think comparing the two is unfair

@DarkSuperNova4000 First u have to learn to strum and pick. Instead of learning what to strum and pick, first learn to get a good sound! (Just play around with your guitar.) Once u achieve a good sound, when u learn chords and notes you will sound so much better and this will encourage you. Learn chords and also learn picking early. LEARN BLUES SCALE it's easy scale and play 90% of music (jazz blues rock reggae). If learn blues scale EARLY in the future u will be top 80% guitarist!

@imaginaize I have a righty and just flip it upside down, pretty much no difference in playing, though some chords are quite a bit easier and some slightly more difficult. You can always try that if you have a right handed guitar already (like I did), or don't want the extra expense of buying a lefty.
