  • I lost over 180 pounds on the Atkins diet in 2004 and it most certainly didn't "mess with your mind" UMassBluAngel. I'm sorry you had issues with it, but it most certainly is a healthy and effective way to shed the pounds--BUNCHES of them! :)

  • for awhile i thought you meant PIANO scales, since i hear that from my students ALL the time...lol

  • holla

  • I like how you explained where you are coming from, after receiving an email that clearly came from someone who cares.

I also wanted to add...eventhough you said you rather receive constructive critism over compliments...I wanted to tell you I think you are not ugly...you are a very pretty girl.

  • You're dog is adorable:D

  • OMG, losing three pounds is a year is a joke...you can't be serious. I looked up SPARKPEOPLE SUCCESS and came across all of your videos. Something is wrong. You are a beautiful girl and very intelligent.

  • good video thanks for being honest. angie

  • I'll take a seat with you on the faster train if that's ok.

  • SOmetimes I think it is ok not to tell everything. If I struggle some days I don't tell it most of the time. I do tell about it later sometimes but not when it happens because I am very tender in that spot. Oh cute dog by the way. Good points in this video.

  • Glad you made this vid; I think your right about everyone always saying nice things only... which is great don't get me wrong, but to support each other in the battle you have to be honest and sometimes not always agreeable. Criticism and difference of opinion is great & I think is a learning tool as well. Good to know people really care too!

  • i cant say i wasnt wondering some of the same things, as far as your progress goes, im never really sure if you doing good or bad but i know what you mean about people you know in real life watching your vlogs, there so much more id say if it wasnt for all my cousins and friends watching thats for sure.what do you think you could change to get on the "faster train"?

  • I think it is nice that that person took the time to write that all out to you. Great video.

  • Hey you have to do what works . I also believe you have to learn how to keep it off and make it thru life and enjoy your life as well.

  • LOL Good video, but I love my scale. Even though i haven't been on it in 5 months.

  • There are many measuring tools, and "success" is a perceptual truth that everyone sees differently. We are all "works in progress" and it's once we stop working that the progress ceases. You are an intelligent honest inspiration to various people for a variety of reasons! Never lose sight of that Stevie! HOLLA! Whoop whoop!

  • exactly. thanks!

  • I really like how you are so open. I applaud you for your lifestyle changes. It has been a rough battle for me also, but keeping in mind that you are changing your life, not just your diet will help you.

  • thanks! your battle will get easier

  • Holla Back! LOLOLOL! and that dog is frickin ADORABLE!!! You are in no way a failure.. Sounds like you've made some very positive changes in your life that are going to last. I love your outlook on the whole situation..((the email and your progress))

    Go you!

  • yeah i love jack! thanks

  • I agree with a lot of what he said...and a lot of what you said. I think I pretty much understand where both of you are coming from.... BUT because you have/are working so hard and have been successful at becoming a healthier person I think I agree with Mr. Email when he said that now may be the time to get you on a faster train! lol

I give you props for not getting bent out of shape when some "called you out".

Keep up the good work, Stevie. You really are a motivator :)

  • yeah youre right. i do need to get on a faster train.

  • I love your honesty in this video Stevie..more so, I love how you pointed out all the positive things that have changed in your life over this past year, and how you view these things as positive steps. You have always been a great motivator to me girl :)

  • thanks babe! i mean he IS right on several things. i DO need to push myself harder but this was an extension of the scale discussion!

  • great video! loved the "14/16 holla back!" lol congrats on smaller sizes, your attitude is so positive, love it! (cute doggy!)

  • thank you!

  • I wouldn't say your a failure, perhaps some of his comments are true... stick at what works for you and like you said, if you have a healthy diet and continue to try, what's the problem! Like you said, a 3lb lost is better than a 3lb gain.

  • the title of this video is to try to get people to watch it. if i just labeled it "update", many would skip it. advertising trick. lol. i know im not a failure. but thanks for the feedback!

  • Changing yourself mentally is the essence of losing weight; the change in the body is a secondary effect. That you didn't gain is _huge_; you could have gained 50+ lbs last year just by eating normally, plus one extra desert or bag of chips a day (eg, an extra 500 cals per day). On top of that, your clothes are fitting a lot better, and your in better cardiovascular shape, which means that you _are_ adding good muscle (which won't show up like Bangstun's male bodybuilding muscles, duh).

  • thanks!!!

  • By the way, it messes up around 5:31 and should say that I binge eat 1-2 times a month, Monday being one of those days.
