Beginner JavaScript Tutorial - 32 - reverse, push, sort

Does anyone know what kind of sort this method uses? Like is it bubble sort, merge sort, quicksort?

Why do you make "var string1" when you can just do.

bp.sort();

document.write(bp);

what was the purpose of the variable string1? my code run just as well without it. After the sort, all i did was document.write(bp);

if you straight away run the code without defining the var string1 it will still give

the same output.

The sort method isn't alphabetical. If you capitalized words from time to time you probably would have realized this.
