He voted against the "new GI Bill" because it wasn't fair to all personnel (non coms vs. non rated). What Jon says reflects the attitudes of alot of older Americans who look back and realise that back then they were young and ignorant and where acting on knee jerk reactions (influenced by a wide assortment of drugs). Jack Kennedy made a deal with the devil when he alighned himself with Sam Geanconnor (probabley spelled that wrong)to get his son elected. First thing Bobby did was go after him..enough said.

1. Yeah I did participate in that anti-war stuff when I was young but I am older now and realize that all that war protesting was nonsense that did great damage to the country. (if you had bad judgment the first time around, why should we trust you now?)
