@lingosteve you don't use "모두 이해 합니다" <-- in such a way, it means " I understand you guys"... it sounds not right. Just say 감사합니다 or 고맙습니다, they both means thank you and, "correction" its 열심히 공부하겟씁니다.
If you don't mind me asking, what is the current status for Korean Lingq? Although I haven't used it to learn any of the other languages you offer, I really like the system.
@emptywords196 As of June 2011, Korean on Lingq is pitiful. Hopefully Steve not only gets his Korean up to par but makes a concerted effort to establish Korean on his site.
@rfwelsh That is a bit true, but I am using LingQ right now for Korean. The beginner material in the library is dismal at best. If however you are importing material that you want to read and have a korean friend read and record it for you, then you will realize the full power of LingQ. 행운을 빌어요! This is November of 2011.
I'm a south Korean, Your Korean is excellent! you're like my hero 'cause I'm an enthusiast about learning languages(actually I'm learning about 10 languages and my English French and Spanish are enough to get by! :D), I hope learn lots of things from you and I can help you with Korean. good luck!
At times your accent is great, like an elder Korean man! I say this from being part Korean but not speaking any, so I can identify the general sound well.
Ok, I suppose I should have a go at doing that at some point soon. I hope you will produce Korean content when you eventually get it up and running.
I posted a video reply in my own bumbling Korean, just for fun. I hope you can understand some of it, like you I am still a relative beginner having only studied for 10 months or so.
I would also really appreciate Korean on Lingq, I get the feeling that it is a language growing in popularity with English speakers, especially with the increasing numbers of English teachers going to live and work in Korea like my self. LingQ에서는 한국어를 만들어 보십시오
You can use LingQ now for Korean if you import your own content for your own use, and use one of the other language slots that you know you will not study in the future, like English.
LingQ is not ideal with Asian languages yet, altho it works better for Korean than for the others. It works least well for Chinese. WE hope to fix all that and set up Korean properly in the fall. Thanks for the interest.
I cannot give you an answer. You can use LingQ right now for Korean, just use another language slot. one that you do not intend to study. However, it is not ideal. I am keen to get going too. I would guess 6 months from mow.
you can use other language slots like that!? :) great... i'm going to upload some vietnamese... but first i got to find the clothes lady at the local mall. i heard her speak viet a few days ago and her english is quite good, so i'm going to ask her (with a fee) to translate "Who is she?" and take it from there :)
Yes I got it done. It cost me about $800 AUD (or about $700ish USD) all up. quite steep. never going down that path again. I think i'd have been better off just recording my gf's relatives have a good old conversation at the next family bbq and just get her to translate the hours of tape and separate them into 10-20 minute pieces. would have been much more natural and helpful really... but 'who is she' is a start i guess.
Don't worry,, You can do it !! Fighting,!! ..

Foreigners learn Korean to pick up Korean chicks
(same when uri-nara -aram-deul gather in those unbelievable seals-like or anchovies like gatherings - soccer games etc. - : it's just for sex !)
And it works.
Go on dude ! Next time, show us a super vulgar ajuma (pleonasm also here).

In a few months I hope. You can use another language slot at LingQ to work on Korean but then you would lose your database when we start up.

Just curious, did you ever get "Who is she" translated into Vietnamese?
