I've encountered a glitch with this. I've acquired the staff, but Enthir refuses to take it, I can't find Arniel anywhere, and the game is claiming I never delivered the soul gem to Arniel even though that quest is completed. WTF is going on?

In the second part of Arniel's Endeavor with the dwemer convectors with the warped stone when your suppose to place them it doesn't work for me. The first one did, but I can't get any other convector to work for me. wtf is up with that? am I doing something wrong?

one question, is that staff enchanted based on when you find it??? i hope so. because itwouldnt do much good getting it early on.

@Avidismal No, the enchantments are always the same. It doesn't matter when you find it. Wouldn't it be better to find this earlier on, because enemies will be at lower levels though?
