As awesome as it is to still see BMX alive and kicking, it sure isn't like it was back in the early 80's when the Grand Nationals were held in huge arenas. This is the best sport ever and I hope to regains it popularity.
you don't buy racing bmx bikes, you buy a frame and build it up to the individual rider.
Danscomp is always good. Used to be a huge racing ordeal there in the early 2000's but since then its well... has a very small limited section. 4x mtb has really put a damper on bmx racing IMO.
@freeridelifedotnet then why does every bike company sell completes? *duh* you can adjust a stock bike enough to an individual rider. its a matter of personal choice.

And how can you "adjust" a stock bike? Were not talking handle bar height or angles were talking fork rake, wheel base, center of gravity, spin (IE crank length), gearing. Basically, the adjustments that would need to be made to tailor a bike to someone would end up replacing the majority of the parts.

However, If you're an avid racer, of course you're not going to buy a complete. Obviously the person you told to buy a frame is not an avid racer. New riders need a platform to start with unless they're rollin in the dough. not the case with regular people like me.

The only stock bikes worth a damn for racing is the absolute top tier bikes per company. IE you will pay the same as building a bike yourself.

and who exactly are NOT top-tier company's that sell completes? Every company i see (Redline, GT, Haro, Intense) all have top of the line bikes in various sizes, and not-so top of the line bikes. Bottom line, one doesnt NEED to piece together everything on their bike. If the sport was about everything tailored to riders then there wouldn't be a market of completes.
You dont EVER get it right the first time. You as a racer should know that.

i hope i can go this year as well. i dont think i will be racing but just to chill and watch the races. if my sister gets inducted into the bmx hall of fame than i will most likely be going
