i think its like when christina and burke got engaged, and it wasn't about the engagement as much the three episode arch of post ferry accident triaging and meredith dying and christina not being able to tell her over that period of time when grey's was so good I watched it over the o.c. series finale. oops. but likewise, mer's pregnant, then there's a shooting, ergo; unable to tell derek etc. PROBABLY. love shonda but she likes to repeat story lines; george o'malley, dell parker.
