Which CYMA AK is this? because they make full metal, 350+ FPS ones for about $150-$200, and they make shitty $30 walmart ones that are all plastic and shoot about 20 feet at 200 FPS. And for all the people bitching about Marui's FPS being too low, FPS is not everything. Chinese clone gearboxes have a tendency to be unreliable, but their FPS is usually higher than Japanese gunss because of a FPS limiting law in Japan.
Id take CYMA just for the fact that it cost over half less then marui counterpart. and since the day i bought mine 2 years ago ive had no problem what so ever, except for the battery which was shit, but with new battery,charger and couple of midcaps its still lot less then marui.
Cyma AKs are budget guns, full metal and wood with decent internals TM will give you good quality plastic externals that will NEVER break basically, and the internals will last forever! Just do not put a spring that will shoot 400+ fps in a TM without reinforcing the GB, it will break quickly, TMs are designed to their low power to be extremely accurate, and are compatible with nearly every part out there on the market TM is the best, after upgrades, but also, what gun doesnt need upgrades?

To all who are making claims of "good" and "bad" brands. Good and bad are just words. CYMA has recently made great improvements in the quality of their products. They are generally cheaper than high-end manufactures, and make excellent starter guns. I would say that an inexpensive gun that allows new players, or those without loads of cash to blow, access to airsoft is indeed quite "good." Hell, I own a CA, a TM, and a G&G, and I just picked up a CYMA AKM as my fourth AEG. I love it.
i personally think that tm are better because there compatible with almost anything i got a TM AK47 and upgraded with classic army, stytema, G&P,G&G and king arms parts and the gun now shoots like 480fps and fire 1200 rounds per minute. But the CYMA has barely any other upgradable parts unless you get them custom made which could cost double the amount!
In all honesty, I must say that the CYMA AK47 CM028+ is better then the Tokyo Marui, the first thing I noticed, is the Metal Bushings used in the CYMA's and the Plastic Nylon Bushings in the TM's. Also, the reason that the CYMA was firing slower, was because , CYMA's used heavier spring, usually M120's and above, while Tokyo Marui's used M85-M90 springs. A lighter spring means a faster firing rate, I took out the M120 spring in my CYMA, and to be honest, it shoots faster then the Tokyo Marui.

if you strip them down the marui is made from a lot higher quality parts, my m4 has lasted me about 4 years and is still going strong. and anyway cyma's bodys are made from pot metal whic is cheap and isnt nice, a tm ak with a nice wood kit and metal body, and maybe a new spring and you've got the best ak on the market.

Agreed, they are excellent in close to mid range but above 200 yards it becomes less effective. Guns that are starting to whoop ass are these with the Bullpup design such as a Famas or the Tavor really excellent and futuristic design :)
i think you mean 1000 ft. it wouldnt be possible for the rifle to fire that far because the AK's design is to yaw. Yawing would throw the trajectory off and make it near impossible to shoot much further than 400 yards (not 200 my bad ;))

TM ak lasted my friend a year until he stripped the gears and the folding stock broke off, there not always made the best, but CYMA is the best AK for the price.
@RapManDeliverin I bet your friend never even made an effort to take care of his gun let alone at least lube the gun with silicon oil.....TM makes one of the most reliable airsoft guns in the market. Your friend should've known that it is illegal to manufacture metal airsoft guns with over 1 joule of energy per second. He could've bought aftermarket parts and all that. Tokyo Marui internals outlast most others. The range is amazing as well on a stock TM.
But keep in mind the tokyo marui sector AND spur gear are made out of straight pot metal, where as the CYMA's gears are full steel. Thats why the gears were stripped. The CYMA simply has some better parts to it than the TM.

No i think its a cm.022 and thats real shit! I only remember this loading-problems by this model. All other models from CYMA works even better! My weapon of choice is the cm.031!
I have a cyma ak74 and i can say that it can mess with a tm ak, its very durable and it shoots VERY good with a righ range and with a very high rof like 14 shots per second. cyma has made some crappy shit guns but now, especially the ak-models are freaking awesome and much cheaper than the ca or tm ones. maybe there are some little internals like the nozzle or the hopup-unit that are not as good as the tokio marui internals but they can be easily replaced by the better ones for few money..
Meh, their Warhawk ak-47 was kinda bad, but yeah, other than that, almost all of their ak-47 models preformed almost just as well as a Marui. ICS on the other hand...No competition.
If Marui is too expensive and Cyma works like crap, I'll buy a Jin Gong/Golden Bow: everyboby says it works well, it costs 100$ (75€) less than a Marui, and it gives you all the optional.
the speed of the bb should affect the range. if you fired 2 guns (1 at 400 fps and 1 at 200 fps) both parellel to the ground, they should reach the ground at the same time. (just like if you fire a bullet and drop a bullet at the same time and height they will fall at the same rate) However the faster "bullet" will travel a farther distance before it reaches the ground thus giving it more range, unless my calculations aren't correct.

TM are more reliable, but Cyma is more upgraded stock. But a stronger spring wrecks your gun faster, and as I said below FPS HAS NO AFFECT ON RANGE. Tightbores and hop ups are the first upgrades you should get on any gun.
1. TM has unrivaled internal quality. Most Cyma guns suck, except for the Ak, which is pretty good, better than JG.
2. What you pay for a TM you save in the long run when you don't have to replace it in a few years.
3. FPS HAS NO EFFECT ON RANGE! yes, ill say it again, FPS HAS NO EFFECT ON RANGE. Look it up on the AirsoftCanada website, scientific proof the only difference between High/Low FPS is how long it takes the BB's to get to there target.
NEW CYMA AEG's own maruis. CYMA AKM= 450 FPS! that would hand any maruis ass to it. and i have the cyma ak, and it goes through both sides of can and the bottom. only problem is the battery kinda blows. get a new battery and its better the TM. TM=325$ CYMA= 79$

in real life the AK does not whoop every guns ass, It has bad recoil and its inaccurate. The only thing that it "whoops ass in" is it dosent jam and it costs the least to make. I know i have fired a Romanian AK many times.

Agreed, they are excellent in close to mid range but above 200 yards it becomes less effective. Guns that are starting to whoop ass are these with the Bullpup design such as a Famas or the Tavor really excellent and futuristic design :)

i think you mean 1000 ft. it wouldnt be possible for the rifle to fire that far because the AK's design is to yaw. Yawing would throw the trajectory off and make it near impossible to shoot much further than 400 yards (not 200 my bad ;))

Totally biased video... on semi auto he is simply squeezing the trigger on the cyma slower, and on auto you can tell by the sound that the gun is still shooting bbs and theres no need to shake it....oh and also TM mags fit in the cyma so its only the high-cap mag thats the problem..

Everything is basically the same apart from some minor internal differences. Only major difference is a 100% mark-up TM puts on their guns that just isnt justified. Try gutting and comparing the guns before you make an assumption based on nothing more than hearsay. Top of the line? Pffft mediocre at best. TM ak lasted my friend a year until he stripped the gears and the folding stock broke off, there not always made the best, but CYMA is the best AK for the price.

@RapManDeliverin I bet your friend never even made an effort to take care of his gun let alone at least lube the gun with silicon oil.....TM makes one of the most reliable airsoft guns in the market. Your friend should've known that it is illegal to manufacture metal airsoft guns with over 1 joule of energy per second. He could've bought aftermarket parts and all that. Tokyo Marui internals outlast most others. The range is amazing as well on a stock TM.

But keep in mind the tokyo marui sector AND spur gear are made out of straight pot metal, where as the CYMA's gears are full steel. Thats why the gears were stripped. The CYMA simply has some better parts to it than the TM.

I have a cyma ak74 and i can say that it can mess with a tm ak, its very durable and it shoots VERY good with a righ range and with a very high rof like 14 shots per second. cyma has made some crappy shit guns but now, especially the ak-models are freaking awesome and much cheaper than the ca or tm ones. maybe there are some little internals like the nozzle or the hopup-unit that are not as good as the tokio marui internals but they can be easily replaced by the better ones for few money..

the speed of the bb should affect the range. if you fired 2 guns (1 at 400 fps and 1 at 200 fps) both parellel to the ground, they should reach the ground at the same time. (just like if you fire a bullet and drop a bullet at the same time and height they will fall at the same rate) However the faster "bullet" will travel a farther distance before it reaches the ground thus giving it more range, unless my calculations aren't correct.

I own both TM & CYMA guns & have found that CYMAs r way better internally. They use steel gears & polycarbonate parts unlike the alloy/pot metal gears and cheap plastic TM uses. Note: I'm not on a TM bandwagon, I own a Cyma.
TM are more reliable, but Cyma is more upgraded stock. But a stronger spring wrecks your gun faster, and as I said below FPS HAS NO AFFECT ON RANGE. Tightbores and hop ups are the first upgrades you should get on any gun.

1. TM has unrivaled internal quality. Most Cyma guns suck, except for the Ak, which is pretty good, better than JG.
2. What you pay for a TM you save in the long run when you don't have to replace it in a few years.
3. FPS HAS NO EFFECT ON RANGE! yes, ill say it again, FPS HAS NO EFFECT ON RANGE. Look it up on the AirsoftCanada website, scientific proof the only difference between High/Low FPS is how long it takes the BB's to get to there target.

NEW CYMA AEG's own maruis. CYMA AKM= 450 FPS! that would hand any maruis ass to it. and i have the cyma ak, and it goes through both sides of can and the bottom. only problem is the battery kinda blows. get a new battery and its better the TM. TM=325$ CYMA= 79$

cyma comes with crappy accesories, battery charger and sometimes mags
cyma uses pot metal and abs plastic
marui uses aluminum, steel nylon and abs
